We were able to see Bear Country today, Sept 9, the last day for this attraction. My 18 month old was fascinated and it's disappointing that we can't take him again!! Let's hope this Pooh attraction is at least as good as the one in WDW.

This is the attraction that was always there but you never went to; the last time I went had to be at least 4 -5 years ago, at Christmas time; as I recall they had a special holiday show.

Interesting to see the lines for the pressed penny machine in the waiting area . . . we got 2 and there were 3 people waiting to make theirs after us. There were bear characters in Critter Country, which I've never seen before. Many people were taking photos of the banner over the entrance which said "29 years of magic - Bear Country Jamboree" or something like that.

This Pooh ride better be good!!

:bounce:

The Pooh ride is not nearly as good as the Bears! At least the one in WDW isn't. I was hping that the Bears might find a home in DCA in the Grizzly Peak area, but so far I haven't heard anything to that effect. So long Bears, we will miss you !!!!

Well, they handed out buttons to CMs and Disneyana Conventioneers on Saturday and the buttons say they are "Hibernating" so they may return in some other form or other park.

...and don't for get that they have there own movie coming out. They'll probably find a home in DCA.

Y'all come back now, ya here!

How about an all new Country Bear/America Sings Revue! :D

We just saw one of the last performances also on Sept. 7th. I think they are making a mistake. Country Bears just needs some updating. Winne the Pooh ride in WDW is cute, but not as good as Country Bears.

I agree with chloesmommi, if they had updated the bears they would have attracted more interest in them. How about parades of "friends in low places" Here's a quarter call someone who care" "acky breaky heart"?? there are so many good "new" country songs that could have put into the bears.

Uncle Buck... I would love to see the revivle of America Sings w/ special guest the country bears. But Splash Mountain woudl look a little empty w/o all the animatronics :-)
