We are having a last of summer yard sale over the Labor Day weekend. I found about 10 Beanie Babies that I didn't even remember having. Any suggestions on pricing? Is a dollar each too much--too little?

Thanks

You might want to check eBay for ideas. $1 may be too much for most. There are some lots of 3 or 5 beanies that didn't even sell for 99 cents.

The days fo a $1,000 beanie baby are long since past... You still find some people stupid enough to fork over tons of money for beanie babies... but that's rare. If you are having a multi day sale then just price them at a buck a piece the first day... if they dont' sell then drop them to 25 cents the next day.... there is a good chance you'll still be the proud owner of them when your done. Just remember they make good chew toys for dogs.

We collect the black bear beanies and I'll pay as much as $5.00 for the small ones and $10.00 or more for the larger beanie buddies. My DH just can't pass one up! :goodvibes

This reminds me... I had a toy poodle several yrs ago whose favorite toy was an octapus beanie baby. I have no clue where she got it:confused3

I don't think Beanies are worth anything anymore. We did better donating them to the local firehouse. They give out plush animals when they go out on calls and young children are involved.

I sold a lot at my Garage Sale for $2.00 (new with tags). If they had no tag they were $1.00.

A year or two ago our neighbor had some Beanies priced at $1 each during a neighborhood garage sale and my son bought them for that price. So it just depends...some may sell for $1 but if you want to just get rid of them, I imagine they would go for a quarter if someone was buying them for classroom or carnival prizes.

I think $1 is fair. You need to remember on ebay that there are usually shipping fees involved, so IMO that is why people don't buy them. I agree with thomas998 about the price drop on the second day.

This reminds me I have about 200 in my attic that I will need to do something with when we finally move. I never thought about the firestation. Thanks for that suggestion Parksfamily5.

I see them priced here for 50 cents and still not selling.

I have a co-worker whose Mom collected Beanies. They have tried to sell them for 25 cents (they started at a $1 each at a sale last year, and he has reduced them as time passes) at about 5 garage sales now and they still have a ton left. He lives in a very busy area and sells just about everything else he puts on the table, but nobody wants the Beanies.
