Bean Bag Chair??

We are thinking of getting a bean bag chair for the Little Guy for Christmas. Of course, he's not so little anymore- he'll be 10 in July- although he's slight. Anyhow... what filling should I get? I'm seeing memory foam or actual poly-beads. I need some info! What do you have in your chair, do you like it, why, what do you recommend?

I just bought a Full Size "Nest" chair from Cordaroys. My kids, 10 and 14, are fighting over it. I had to buy another one. LOL. They still have a good sale going on if you look today. I bought the Nest chair in "bunny fur" fabric that was extra discounted, plus the 30% off code.

Back in the 1970's, the poly pellets were the way to go. Now, I think it's a choice of what you can find, and what you feel like spending.

I had a poly bead chair as a kid and loved it. The only risk is if it leaks, but you have to cut them for that to happen. We would throw them around the basement with no issues.

Yes, you can also get ottoman "poufs" that are empty with zippers and fill them with old clothes or blankets (we have 2 in the living room -- only issue is, fully loaded they are pretty heavy). It's nice that I can pull the stuff out of them and throw them in the wash when they get grody.

OP as far as bean bag chairs, we have a lounger type that you fill with whatever like the ottomans. But since I keep it put away when not in use, I wanted something lighter that was easier to pick up and put away. I got the "Huddle" (here) chair but there are a bajillion different options on Amazon.

Then instead of filling it with stuffed animals like they advertise I got foam pellets like suggested above. The only thing is it removes the washability of the item -- I have to spot clean it if needed, otherwise emptying those pellets is a huge mess.

Well then squeeze your way in just make sure not to zip it up all the way so some air can get in.
