Ok, question to past cruisers who may have done this. I am considering booking beachfront hotels for both stops on the 2005 Western cruise we have. Has anyone else done this? If you have where did you stay and what island? Where you happy? What time were you able to check in? Mabye it seems stupid to pay for a nights stay when only using several hours of spent money, but it creates a plesant island beach day with a room for "at your convience" nap/rest/shower/B-Room/ete.

Just bringing this post back to the first page for one more look by members who may have not seen it and may have done this.

;)

After our excursion to Stingray City in Nov, many of the people chose to be dropped off at Seven Mile Beach by the Holiday Inn. They had a restaurant, loungers to rent & beach in that section looked beautiful. Maybe you wouldn't need to pay to check in at this hotel. You may want to check to see if any of the hotels have "day rates" for cruisers at a cheaper price.

Maybe other cruisers have done this & help you with this. We chose to go back to town, eat lunch & do a little shopping.

The Holiday Inn also let us use their pool which was great.

We didn't have to book a room.
