Where is this? I think I will take the reccomendation for a quick dinner here the night we arrive at the Dolphin, but I couldn't even find it in the Unofficial Guide ( gasp! Not in the 'Disney Bible'!)

Anyone?

Beaches and Cream is right smack in the middle of the Yacht Club and the Beach Club. It is closer to the Beach Club, so park there.
The food is yummy. Very Yummy. The best cheeseburgers and the onion rings are much better than the fries. Ok, now I am hungry!! Get yourself some Q & C Vouchers to save money and enjoy!! Don't forget the dessert!!

Okay...slow down. We do things a bit slower down here in the south  Thanks for your help!

I was under the impression that I could walk to there from the Dolphin (we won't have a car). Is that true?

Also...What are Q&C vouchers? I'm all for saving $$ :teeth:

Yes, you can definitely walk from the Dolphin --- a 5-8 minute walk, depending on where you are. Follow the outside of the building along and you'll come to the health club and then B&C. Stormalong Bay will be on your right and the YC on your left.

It's got good sandwiches and ice cream, but is very small and can get quite crowded. Don't plan to go after Illuminations gets out --- it gets swamped with people returning from Epcot. We've been given a pager, so at least we didn't have to stand in a line.

There's also a sandwich and ice cream place in the basement of the Dolphin (Not Tubby's Buffeteria --- just can't think of the name) which has always been much less crowded. Food not as good, but acceptable and less hectic, so keep it in mind as a back up plan.

For all the information on Q & C Vouchers and other disney meal vouchers, go to the budget board. There is a post up top on Connection vouchers.

The basics: Q & C vouchers can be purchases from www.hotwiresavingsclub.com for 11.50 each (they just went up, they used to be 11.25). You can get an entree and side (unless the side comes with the entree, and it does at beaches and cream), a non-alcholic, non frozen drink, and dessert. You will save lots at B&C. For example, a double burger is 8.99, cheese is .40, it comes with fruit or fries. To get onion rings instead is 1.00 extra. Soft drinks are 1.99 and the yummy dessert we got was 7.99. Add tax and 15% tip and it is over 11.50. All of that is included with the voucher. We did tip extra since our server was awesome.

Some people share the entire meal to save even more money.

Love Beaches & Cream and the Q&C vouchers work great there...you get your money's worth! We also love the Dolphin Fountain(which was mentioned before)-good burgers, fries, shakes and ice cream, closer for you and equally good in my opinion. Can't use Q&C at Dolphin Fountain though.

WE love Beaches and Cream! They have the best rib eye sub in the world! and talk about getting you money's worth with the vouchers! I paid 56.25 for the vouchers and bill came to 105.00 before tax and tip! which are included on the vouchers. It's so good I think I might walk 5 miles for it!!!
:wave2:

I noticed last year the the Unoffical Guide does not consider Beaches and Cream a restaurant. We decided to eat there our last day after playing mini-golf. My DD wanted to see the kitchen sink restaurant (The travel channel special aired the week before we left home).

I own at least 4 editions of the UG. Luckily, I also had my passporter the day we decidied to eat there - It did include Beaches and Cream or we may have missed it. We always carried both books on our "unplanned/spontaneous" days.

It is in the Beach Club (near the Yacht Club) behind Storm Along Bay. The food was wonderful. The tables are a little close together and seems to be one of the smallest restaurants on Disney property. The take out window (ice cream only) had line at least 5 - 10 deep the entire time we were there (April).

Eat ourselves silly there in Dec. Is 3 times to much? We were staying at BWV so it was close. Used vouchers and saved a ton of money. The kids love the No way Jose.....hot fudge...peanut butter sauce....whipped cream...Oh no!!!! I'm hungery!!!
We usually had a light breakfast, early lunch at about 11:00 and than after hitting the pool and relaxing for a couple of hours, hit B&C at about 4:00/4:30 for a early dinner before going back to the parks.

The decor of B&C has the classic soda shop feel....I think if it was larger it would lose it's charm.

ENJOY!!!

Do you need/ can you make a PS for Beaches&Cream?

No PS is needed or is taken.

The UG probably considers Beaches and Cream a counter restaurant (even though there are waitresses). I've had the last 3 editions of the UG and it has never been mentioned. It does not review any counter restaurant in the Disney resorts.

I am another who found Beaches and Cream from Passporter and the Travel channel. YUM. We will be going there at least once on our next trip.

Yes, definitely work it into your plans. We never miss it and the food has always been good even though it is your basic burgers, sandwiches, ice cream place. The best burgers on WDW property in our opinion!

Now my mouth is watering for a big fat juicy Beaches & Cream cheeseburger. We love their food and eat there as many chances as we get when we are there. Of course there is so many great places to eat there that we try and hit as many of them as we can. But also, if it's a nice big sundae or banana split or the Kitchen Sink that you are hungry for, it's the place to go.

I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you, I don't know what time of year you'll be down there but, it gets pretty crowded. You may have to wait to be seated.

We just got back from Disney, and ate at Beaches and Cream twice. It was a great value with the use of Vouchers. We ordered the
Philly-cheese steak sandwich $11,
Onion rings $4,
pop $2,
Bananna split $8
Total about $25

used a voucher... price paid $11.25

The food was great, and I felt like we were really getting a great deal.

I know we may not be in with the popular opinion here, but we did not find Beaches and Cream that great. In fact we thought the ice cream was not that good either(the peanut butter topping on our sundaes was not sweet--kind of gross). Our waitress seemed less than thrilled to see the vouchers....another reason we will not be using them again.... It was burger and fry fare. We would of spent much less if we were paying our selves. I would suggest getting onion rings and a soda if you really must try this place. I was shocked at how small it was!!!!!! (I also say the travel channel program).Now....if you want to walk over the Spoodles and have the flatbread pizza!!!!!!!!!!! (we thought that was outstanding!!!!)

Have a great trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After reading so much about BNC here, I had to try it on our first WDW trip. My son and I loved it! I was surprised to see how small it was. The take out service was slow, but the wait was worth it.:Pinkbounc

When we return in April, I plan to hit BNC 3 times. One trip there will be just to get the kitchen sink. My son (12) says he'll be able to eat the whole thing. I figure if we just go for the ice cream, we won't waste so much of it. There's no way we'll be able to eat burgers, fries, and a Kitchen Sink.

I've heard so much about the prime rib sandwich and No Way Jose, I've just got to try them. And of course those wonderful burgers.::yes::
