Beaches & Cream - Will we get a table?

On a Friday night, around 6:00PM? My wife and son decided they wanted to check out the Christmas decorations at the Yacht and Beach Club and Boardwalk our first night, December 7. I thought Beaches and Cream would be a good place to grab a quick bite. I assume they don't take reservations, correct?

We'll have a rental car. Will we have any problem parking at the Yacht Club if we're not staying there?

Hi,

You're right, they don't take reservations. It's a tiny restaurant with very few seats so I would count on waiting at ANY time of day--especially at a prime dinner time. The only time we have not had to wait is when they open (11AM).

Maybe you'll be lucky....

I would think that it's unlikely to get a seat, at least right away. We were there in the afternoon once (about 3PM, so not a busy time) and there were no tables available. There are only about 10 tables in the restaurant, but there is a coutner that you may have better luck at.

You probably won't get a table in the actual restaurant but you could go to the counter and sit and some of the tables outside.

You will be able to park at YC or BC even if you are not staying there, but you may be given a three hour parking pass.

As for Beaches & Cream, as others have said, there will likely be a wait (potentially a very lengthy one) for a table. Be prepared!

It's not quite that easy...the counter and the outside tables are usually full also.

Plus, the OP is going at night in December. It could be a little chilly outside!

DW and I ate there in Oct around 5pm and no tables.So we sat at the counter. It was great like walking back in time "setting at a soda fountain shop".The best cheese buger I had ever ate,and the fries super also. DW had grilled chicken said it was best she had ever had. Then we had a hot fudge sundae yummmmmy. We are going back this May. It`s on our list as a not to miss meal there

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you should count on an hour wait or more for a table.

There's an arcade next door, and you can go look at the Christmas displays in the lobbies at the BC and YC, that would kill some time, after you put your name in at the podium.

The only time we go is right when they open or mid afternoon.

Wow reading this thread makes me feel pretty lucky, back in November 2005 we walked right in and got a booth. It was great. If you do go Boomhauer and you have several in your party try the Kitchen Sink. It's awesome!!!!!

They do not serve food at the outside tables, there for the takeoue ice cream crowd. The takeout menu is very limited in its options.

Go, park, put your name in and wander around. Tell the hostess you are going to view the decoratins. Pick either the BC or the YC, explore enjoy then go back and wait for your table. After dinner, go explore the sister resort.

They give you a pager when you check in ~~ Their pager range is not very far; definitely not far enough for you to go look at decorations.

You may have a long wait, you may not. We were there last week & decided to do lunch at B&C on Wednesday about 1. Walked up, no one else waiting and got a booth with a wait of only 5 minutes! In those few minutes we were waiting 5 other parties came up to put their name in. You never know how it will be.

Enjoy the decorations ~ The BC's carousel is especially amazing this year!
