We are staying 1 night at POP before a 7 night stay at Wilderness Lodge:banana: I have a couple of questions about dinner. Should we try beaches and cream? How easy is it drive to or take the bus?

Beaches and Cream is a lot like Johnny Rockets, except I find Johnny Rockets has better food than B&C does now. B&C is very limited in its menu. It's convenient to Epcot first, and the Studios next, since the Epcot resorts are sandwiched between those two parks without the need for a bus. (Boat from the Studios, more than likely if you don't want to walk a mile.) Walking from Epcot is a straight shot out of the International Gateway exit between the UK and France.

If you drive, you'd have to park at either the Yacht Club or Beach Club resort. You'd tell the guard at the gate that you're eating at Beaches and Cream in order for you to park.

If you're using Disney bus transportation and you're at the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, or Downtown Disney, you would wait at the Yacht/Beach bus stop. (Keep in mind that in midday or slower times of day, the bus might become a Swan/Dolphin/Yacht/Beach/Boardwalk bus.) Since the bus stops at Yacht Club before Beach Club, you should get off at the Yacht Club and follow the walkway through the lobby, past the restaurants to the pool area where Beaches and Cream is located.

I'm not sure I would go out of my way to eat here for a burger or grilled cheese. If you were a guest at the hotel it's fine for lunch while your at the pool. The icecream is good; like a Friendly's. When your at Epcot, you can take the gateway exit by France (walk or boat). THe walk if not that far to the resort, for an afternoon icecream/snack break!

We stopped eating there when the dining plan came out. It just did not seem to be a value as a sit down on the dinning plan.

This last June my son really wanted to take his family there. His concerns were wait time as they do not take reservations and in the past it was always an hour wait.

He enjoyed his roastbeef sandwich, onion rings and ice cream desert so much that he went back again on the same trip while on the dining plan.

Other restuarants that he enjoyed on the trip were
Prime Time
Le Cellar
O'huanas (twice on the trip it was so good)

He did not care for
San Angel
(better mexican in Oklahoma)
or
Crystal Palace
(service bad, food was not good, ended up eating off childrens area after trying many dishes)

Rather than driving there, I would go out the back gate of Epcot and just walk over some afternoon.
Burgers are frozen, normal patties on a griddle. (We sat at the bar and watched them cook) It is just like a short order diner as far as food quality without much variety. That being said, we split a burger and fries and enjoyed it. Nothing like Five Guys or Fuddruckers or Red Robin, so don't expect that high quality a burger.
The ice cream is not really special except for how they put it together, and THAT is the reason to go. They have several specialty sundaes that are delicious and HUGE. We love the No Way Jose which has peanut butter and chocolate syrup and is just divine. We saw a banana split being made and it looked great as well as milkshakes in the old fashioned glass with the tin on the side.

If you want a good burger/fries etc kind of meal I actually prefer ESPN Club and unless there's some sort of Playoff game or something going on you will usually be seated pretty quick there.

Me and my boyfriend ate there in May and we stayed at Pop. We decided to check out the Boardwalk on our arrival day, so we parked there and walked to the Beach Club to eat at Beaches and Cream. It's very easy to get there!

I really like Beaches & Cream, but that is because we usually stay at the Yacht Club, I don't think I'd make a special trip there.

We love Beaches and Cream. They have great burgers and sadwiches. The desserts are awesome. I think it's worth a trip to Beach/Yacht Club, especially if you have a car and can just drive over.

We stay at BCV and would NEVER go out of our way to eat there..It is ok, nothing phenomenal and the waits can be HUGE for this very very very small place

We always stay at BWV and we always eat there. However, this last trip, the food had gone way downhill. Not sure we will eat there this next trip.

We go there every year, and we think the food is great. The place is just too small though and you need to get there when it opens or you will be waiting at the resort a long time. The deserts are awesome, like the Kitchen Sink, Frozen Sunshine, and all of their milkshakes. While the food is pretty much the same as other places, I like the atmosphere of the soda shop.
