We just found out that our reservation for Planet Hollywood was messed up. They scheduled it for Oct. and not Nov.... very frustrating!! So moving forward, I need a plan B. I am looking at Beaches and Cream. Help me understand why they are a table service place but do not take ADR's? Is that right? And what about those desserts, do they count on the dining plan? I am not sure how this place works... thanks so much.

I don't know about the DDP, but we ate there about a month ago. You are right, they are a TS but don't take ADR's. We had a part of 4, around 7:00 and we had a 20 minute wait. It wasn't bad - they gave us a buzzer and we headed over to the bar for a drink.

The food was good, but wasn't over the top good like I had heard on the boards. DH had a hamburger and I had the Philly cheesesteak. Like I said, it was good. The onion rings were the best I have had on property though. :thumbsup2 Can't go wrong there! We didn't eat dessert, as we were heading back over to the F&W Festival for something sweet. But DH did have a pineapple milkshake, he really liked it. ;)

Good Luck!

You asked about the desserts on the DDP. You can choose anything from their dessert menu that you want with the sole exception being the Kitchen Sink. Otherwise, you're good to go!

Enjoy the Magic, & the calories!

The restaurant is small (not many tables) so be prepared for a wait. The onion rings are good and the desserts are fantastic. If you like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups than you will LOVE the No Way Jose sundae. I think it is worth a trip over to the Beach Club.

December will be our first trip using the Dining Plan. We are opting to eat at California Grill which is 2 TS credits and paying Out of Pocket for our meal at Beaches & Cream. I don't think it's a good use of your TS credits unless you're going to have some left anyway. Usually DH & I share a hamburger, onion rings & a No Way Jose. Even if we were very hungry there's no way could we eat 2 desserts!

Great restaurant with excellent grilled chicken and burgers. It's definitely a sandwich-shakes-ice cream-sodas kind of place. Worth it for the experience, I'd say, unless you are looking strictly for a dinner place and have a very large group, which could make the wait unbearable.
