We are heading down in June and will have one day when we aren't on the dining plan. We thought this might be a good night to try Beaches and Cream. We've read a lot about it and my daughter saw the Travel Channel's bit on the "kitchen sink". What is the wait like in the early evening on a Saturday night in June for a family of four? Is it the kind of place where you can put your name on a list and wander around the boardwalk checking things out until it's about time or do you need to stand by to wait for your name to be called?

We've only gone during value season & at off times, so I don't know about the wait.

I do know that they give you a beeper if you have to wait, so you can go around some - but I think Boardwalk would be too far. B&C is at the Beach Club. :)

My guess is that on an early Sat. evening in June, there will be a major wait. The place is quite small, and located smack-dab in the middle of two very large resorts. Best advice is to TRY and go during "off hours"..

Even "off hours" can have quite a wait -- we were just there last week and went to B & C on Saturday at about 3 PM. There was a 25 minute wait, and we were given a pager while we waited. You could ask them the range of the pager (but I think Boardwalk would be too far -- you could probably wander around the BC and/or YC and look at things). We just sat and watched people at the pool. By the way, we think it was worth the wait!

We were there in early December (weekday) and never got in. We tried twice. Each time the wait for a table was 45 minutes or more. We kept choosing off-times (2:00PM) or (4:00PM) and never made it. We could have had seats at the counter, but needed a high-chair and counter service would not work. We got carryout and that wait in line was 30 minutes. It was all very frustrating.

We stayed at the Beach Club over Memorial Day weekend in 2004. The wait times for B&C were long-over an hour. You definitely would not be able to go over to the Boardwalk with a pager as ours did not work when we walked back to our room even though they said it would.

Well over an hour for most times, this place is way too small.

We've eaten there 4 times over our last 3 trips. May 2001, May 2002, June 2005. The longest we have ever waited for a table was 10 minutes. We usually go around 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. However, it is usually during a weekday.

We plan on going again this trip as well. :thumbsup2
