We’re thinking about going in April for our son’s first birthday but don’t want to eat inside. Are they serving outside?

I don’t believe so, but doesn’t hurt to call and ask. When you arrive, you just let them know you’d like to sit outside. You might have to wait a bit, but if it’s what you want, it’s worth the wait. We ate inside and had no issues.

The take out window is closed and there aren't very many tables outside (they were usually for the take out window).

I don’t think we’re gonna eat there. I think we’re gonna try the boardwalk bakery instead with mobile order

When we went in December, all of the outside tables were reserved for Beaches and Cream. We were asked if we wanted to eat lunch inside or outside.

You definitely can. They have outdoor tables for those who feel more comfortable with that. We were just there last week and they offered this option to us. I just like to be as close to the ice cream as possible. Ha!

There are about four tables outside available but in my opinion, you have way more people walking past you and around you than you'd have inside the restaurant. The outside tables are right near the check in stand and people tend to linger in the area waiting to be seated. The tables inside are very spaced out with much more social distancing than outside..
We've eaten dozens and dozens of times at Disney since it reopened, we always eat inside and have had no issues at all. They are very strict and going above and beyond most other establishments.

We decided we’re gonna skip it for this trip but I appreciate your input!
