We are going on the 7 day western cruise in 2 weeks. We are so excited we've been on other cruises but never been on Dis. Does Disney provide you with beach towels to bring onto the Islands or do we need to bring our own? THANKS!:
yes they have towls right when you walk off the ship on the privite island. there sighs in the cruise (right by the 3 pools) in brown boxes that says clean towls.
the towels that are provided are not the large beach towels you are used to. If you want a towel to lay on in the sand, I suggest you bring your own, or grab more than one when you leave the ship if they'll give you more than one
I know if you are on a DCL sponsored excursion they provide towels at the meeting place for the excursion (usually in one of the lounges onboard). There they have stacks of towels for you to pick up).
I have not seen them hand out towels at other islands other than their own, but others have said they do.

Here is a link to some of the Beach towels designs they sell onboard...they make a wonderful souvineer.
When we were at Castaway Cay in April they had some double sized towels. They were in the souvenier shop with all the other towels. I think (don't quote me) they were in the $40.00 range. The regular sized ones were $20.00,
