I won a second RSG auction, and my plan is to use it for a beach stay in either March or April 2004 (depends on when spring break falls, which I want to avoid). I'm buying the special 5 Day/4Plus Hopper ticket for my October 2003 trip so we will have 3 plusses and a day left over to use when we go on this beach trip.

Which east coast beach would be better to stay at? I've been checking SkyAuction to see what places pop up, and so far I've seen Daytona and Ormond rather regularly and St Augustine once. Haven't seen aything for Cocoa so far (don't know if they ahve RCI timeshares there or not). Which is the easier and/or shorter drive?

I guess if nothing else we could always get a cheap room in Orlando one night, go to a water park and park hop one day. I don't plan on using all the plusses anyway.

TIA!

Daytona or Tampa (west cost) - both are around 90 to 180 minutes away from WDW.

Daytona Beach is about 60 minutes from Orlando. We make this trip every time we come to WDW, as I have family in Daytona and Ormond. Ormond is the northern point of Daytona Beach, St. Augustine is a lot further.

Daytona is also a beautiful beach.

Have a great trip!

Tampa/ST Pete's, St Pete's beach are beautiful. They are on the gulf side.

Orlando is in the middle of the state. The closest beach in going to be at least an hour.

Thanks all! Will probalby go w/ either Daytona or Ormond. Now I need to figure out what is considered Spring Break time as I don't want to be there then!!!
