Beach or Yacht concierge?

Hello again from sunny London

I've decided to go concierge for my family's first WDW trip to Poly and BC/YC in October. My question for you veterans out there is which is better for concierge, BC or YC. I know the services are the same, but from what I have found on various sites the lounge room in the BC looks very small compared to the YC, and the YC looks to have a really nice balcony. I had originally thought BC because my children are young, DD5 and DS3, and I thought the YC looked a bit formal.

All views very gratefully received.

I have not stayed BC concierge, but the YC concierge is wonderful and very roomy. My DD had just turned 4 at the time and there was a cute little table in front of the TV playing Disney shows for her entertainment and the food offerings had plenty for her to enjoy. I didn't find it to be too formal at all and Darby met quite a few friends her age. The balcony was very nice and everytime I went out on it I had it all to myself.

Overall I liked my YC stay better, but that was probably because my BC stay was GV standard. :hyper:

Thanks LuAnimal

Any other views? Someone must have stayed BC concierge and be able to tell me if the lounge is as cramped as the pics I have seen suggest. Isn't it ridiculous how we can obsess over these things.

..........however.......

We prefer the YC. The BC Concierge Lounge is somewhat cramped. Nice...but small.

Nice choice to have!::yes::
Good Luck!

None Prouder - Could you post the links for the BC conceirge lounge? I've been looking all over for pictures.

TIA!!

We have stayed at the YC Concierge before and enjoyed it alot, but we did feel something of a "shhh" factor there. By that I mean it was very formal in appearance and we all automatically whispered!! LOL, I know that is our choice, but whenever I think of planning a trip back, for some reason the YC Conc. doesn't enter my list of choices. But it is beautiful and they are friendly there. The BC seems alot more relaxed.

We really loved the YC concierge on our Sept 2002 trip. We didnt go out of our way to be quiet but it was the off season so probably was a bit more quiet than usual. We had a great time and if DJ is still there he is great! He has a great sense of humor and joked around with us a lot. He is definately not stuffy, lol.

I stayed at the BC concierge about two yeras ago. I loved it. We were not cramped in the concierge lounge at the time and we loved the food selections and the staff BUT word of warning....The room ( waterview) we had and some of the other rooms shown to us were smaller than the other BC rooms we have had in the past. We complained that we were suppose to have a waterview too and got a view of a tree. Many of the rooms has this problem. This has been rectified . They cut down the trees in the entrance way( my kids said they killed the trees because of me! )We actually decided to buy in at the BCV's because we couldn't stand the size of the rooms there. I would go to BC concierge but I would stay on another floor. If you decide to go the the Yacht Club you should call first as I have seen on these boards that they will be starting exterior renovations there.Good luck:):bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I have stayed at both YC and BC Concierge.

My vote would go to BC because of the Cast Members. They are so friendly and helpful that we look forward to seeing them as part of our trip.

The lounge was rearranged when we were there last December, and it seemed as though there is more room since they moved the TV and kids chairs.

You won't go wrong with either one, but I think BC has the edge.
