We are expected to close within a week for 400 points at OKW. Our first trip was going to be at HH during the 4th of July week, but they are all booked up, so we are staying in a private condo near the Beach House at HH. Does anyone know if DVC members can use the beach house while not staying at Disney HH?

Welcome Home! We just got back from our first trip to HH this past weekend. Our room key gave us access to the Beach House. You may need to go to the HH Resort and show your DVC card and they may give you an access card and parking permit to get in.

Have fun!

You can only get the parking pass by checking in and your room key is your beach house access key. You might want to walk over to the beach house to take a look; sometimes someone is walking in or the doors aren't completely shut; the first time i went there, the doors were propped open, but the last time, the front and back were both securely locked.

Use of the facilites at the resort is really just for registered guests. I'm sure if you ask for a tour of the facility, they will be happy to show you around, but may be hesitant to give you complete come-and-go access.

Use of facilities at all DVC resorts is intended for registered guests only. At HH , you can still use the beach near the Beach House- as all beach areas are public. Enjoy!

In order to get to the DVC Beach House, you will need to pass through the manned gate at the plantation (Palmetto Dunes?). They won't allow cars that don't have either a plantation car pass (as issued by the resort) or those who are checking in that day to one of the resorts with a check-in site inside the gate. Some plantation resorts or complexes have a check-in site outside the plantation for this reason.

If you are staying inside Palmetto Dunes Plantation, there is another simple plantation (dirt) parking lot where you would have beach access with free parking and basic rest room facilities. It's not far from the Beach House actually. The gate attendent can tell you where to drive.

That week will be jammed at any unrestricted or limited access beach parking site so get there very early (or fairly late in the day) to find parking or ride bicycles to the beach. Have a fun trip.
