Beach hotel near Port Canaveral port?

Are there any beachfront hotels near Port Canaveral that you would recommend? We would love to spend a few days at Vero pre cruise but I don't know if we will have enough time depending on which flight we chose. Are there any resorts/hotels right on the beach like Vero but closer to the port? Thanks!

Try looking in Cocoa Beach. I haven't stayed there myself but I used to live in Melbourne. Cocoa is a really popular beach so there must be some decent properties. I know there are several beachfront hotels in Melbourne.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Club in Port Canaveral. It has a couple buildings very close to the beach, just some vegetation between you and the beach and a nice walkway to it. It is a very short walk to the jetty to watch the cruise ships depart.
They have a nice play space for younger kids and pool with slides for older kids. We were offseason but I was impressed and got a good rate for a 2bedroom.
