Beach Hoppin' With the Wigdout Gang! A super speedy trip report.

Haha Jordan! You have me pegged!
I did drag a beach chair into the water and sit for a while too!
Baylor wasn't old enough for the teen area, he's only 11 and honestly his group thought they were a bit too old for the younger area 3-12 isn't that quite a range?
So they spent most of their time up on the sports courts!

Michael was 8.5 on our last cruise and he didn't spend much time in the kid's club either. He went a few times with our tablemate's son, who was the same age!, but mostly he was with us which was fine. But we didn't get to go try Palo!!! It's on my list for next time!

Those CC pictures do make me want to be there with my feet in the sand having a tasty drink or doing a little shopping! It would be better with some DIS friends.
We need to plan a cruise together!

It would be fun to go on a cruise together!

We cruise June 3, 2011.
Baylor has changed his mind about the December trip and thanks to you we just made all of our ADRs!
Kids can go to Shula's, I don't remember a kids menu though, we didn't have Baylor that trip.
We have the trip next Saturday, the October trip then, Christmas!
It's really time to plan a Spring Break trip!

Does that mean he's going? I need to go figure out my ADR's. I've made some but I need to fgure out which days/parks we might go to!

Isn't CC lovely?:cloud9:
I agree, maybe when we rebook I'll ask about one with two CC days.
The beach cover-up was a Mother's Day gift from Megan, it came from World Market.

Wish I could get to that Character Outlet. I could go for cheaper!

Just the color of that water is so beautiful! Paradise! I would love to do another cruise at Christmas!
Double Dip!!!

That would be fun!
I love your bathing suit. Did you get it at Kohl's? I almost bought that one.

I saw a few items that we have in your pics! Cruise Goofy came home with us on our first cruise (2005) and the blue nightshirt came home in Aug, in fact I have it on now!!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl:
I need to work on a Spring Break trip too. Our break is the week before Easter, April 16-24! That's late for us.
Too bad we can't cruise with you in June. We don't get out until June 8 and you will be back in school when we go on our cruise! :)
I love the fireworks pics!

I did get my suit at Kohls.
We have Spring Break in March but a week later than last year.
I just sent you a pm!

So more of a busy Chris....

Yes Exactly. I see it that way too, now. Now I like the kids who are a bit different and challenged.
If I can make a difference during the week I have them then it was worth the extra effort.

Had one last week. Mom sent me an email to thank me. It was my pleasure.
My first line in my reply was " It has been a pleasure having your child in camp." I bet she doesn't hear that every time.
Nice kid, just troubled and has sensory and impulse control. He actually improved during our week and even at home.
Moments like that make me love my job. :lovestruc

I hope we can meet up while we are both in the World.

That drink looks soooooo good! I would love to be on there on the beach with a drink in my hand. Lovin' all the pictures...makes me want to do a cruise one day; but I have this irrational fear that Hannah will fall off the ship!
The fireworks look awesome! Love Baylor's pirate costume!

Wigd: Poolrat and I had lunch together today and as we were walking out there was cold case at the door and they had parfaits in them. Poolrat and I both looked at them as we walked by and at the same time we both said "Ohhhh parfaits!"   We were both thinking about you and your parfaits! Then, as we were walking up the street to catch our respective trolley's we walked by a street vendor selling BBQ. Poolrat said the smell reminded her of being in AK. I think we need a 12 step program. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I just posted this exact same recount on Memom and Jill's report. :rotfl2: Too funny.
Well except I called us Disney Dorks.

Sarah and I did the Stingray Encounter and really enjoyed it! It is such a strange feeling when the rays glide over your hand and "suck" the food out of your fingers.

You did an amazing job of channeling your inner MeMom with all those shopping pics! :lmao:

We will for sure on the 9th! What day do you come in?

All these shopping pictures of cute things, too fun. So Baylor was grouped with those youngins? Good to know! You have the four day cruise booked for June right? Which ship?

Thanks! I have a feeling that picture of the plushies contained in the plasic bag was a bit disturbing for her...
The stingrays, were swimming between our legs and sucking on peoples toes. They were everywhere! So much fun!
It was interesting how they asked us to shuffle as we walked so if there were any stingrays buried, they wouldn't be stepped on. Their barbs had been trimmed back so they had no defense. It was totally safe for us. What an experience!

Actually Chase and his family were our table mates. They met at dinner our first night and that was it! They met the rest of the gang in the kids club and then made their way to the basketball court. I'm not sure they ever went back to the kids club after that...
We do sail on the Dream June 3rd.

Cool, you are on the Dream...you will have to tell us all about it! I can't wait to check it out!

My DD and I were scheduled to do the stingray excursion on our Feb 09 cruise, but it was canceled b/c of wind. Then in Dec. no one wanted to do it with me. I should have gone by myself.
On our Feb trip, my older daughter enjoyed the kids' club a lot, but my younger one lasted about two hours. In December, neither of them set foot in the place.
We have to go again so we can go to Palo.

Agreed, you must go again if for no other reason than to go to Palo!

OK.... I don't know where to start with comments either. I only read page 26. I have no idea if the next 4 pages are comments or if there are more TR updates.

I absolutely love this way of doing a TR. Everything is perfectly photographed to tell the story.

The picture of Baylor with the life jacket is a hoot! Other than that he looks like he is having a blast. He has some cool clothes! Nassau looks beautiful and dinner at Palo looks great.

I noticed quite a few pictures of Wigd texting. It's easy to see how she racks up those texts! :rotfl:

This is so much fun. Will check back for more updates in the morning.

bwahahahahahahahaha, caught up again! but i work a double tomorrow so.......

:goodvibes

All caught up and all I can say is WOW! I am so going on a cruise. That looks fabulous!!!!!! I didn't think I wanted the cruise incentive when I added on DVC points, but perhaps I should rethink that. Everything looks so amazing! The water is soooooooo clear. The characters. The fireworks. The party. The food. OMG - Love it!

Loving your updates! The fireworks were fun, makes me ready for the 4th! I saw several things I would like to have from your shopping pictures! And the food...yum! I'm ready to book a cruise! ;)

Oh my goodness! Between the pictures of Castaway Cay, all the shopping pics, and all the food pics, I really, really, really want to go on the cruise now! I saw lots of souvies at CC that I would like to bring home!
