We are planning on going over to Cocoa Beach for the day during our trip to Disney.

What could I pack for us to sit on at the beach? I don't want to bring a big blanket. I'd like something light and easy to carry.

Is there anywhere that rents chairs at the beach?

Thanks!!:flower3:

An old flat sheet. I found they work really well and it's easy to get the sand of them. If it's really old, you could even just throw it away, but they don't take up as much room as a big blanket or towel.

I believe they rent stuff near the Ron Jon's surf shop, but keep in mind that's probably the MOST crowded part of cocoa beach. If you take a sheet, get off of the beach line (528) at the 2nd cruise terminal, take that all the way down to Jetty Park, you can sit and watch the cruise ships, or coast guard, if they're coming in or out, and it might be less crowded then over by ron jons. We just moved here about a year ago, so I'm not too much of a guru on the local beaches, but I'll try if you have any questions! Enjoy the beach!

This isn't so budget conscious, but last time we went to the beach we stopped by Walgreens in Daytona and bought little woven beach mats for $1.99 each. They worked great and we just gave them to away before we left so we wouldn't bring loose sand back with us.
