Hi
we are leaving for Orlando in about a month and had planned 2 days at the beach. I had a ressie for the Holiday Inn Cocoa beach but recently read that they had alot of damage.

Looking for ideas- is the beach there very bad? if yes, any ideas on where else to go? will I get gouged if I try to change hotels if many of the others have sustained damage? Any thoughts on staying with the HI? If they have done enough repair will things be back to normal? or should I cancel this and look elsewhere?

We went to the gulf side last year- were thinking about trying this side this year for something different- maybe the space center- but maybe that is a bad idea for this year?
We have Sat aft- Mon aft to go to the beach.

here's what I would do...

I'd start looking around at alternate accomodations...and in a few days, give the HI a call...and/or contact Cocoa Beach Tourist Info.

Good luck, and let us know:)

how about St Augustine?

they have more power outages - but less damage to the hotels and beaches.
