Beach Cub Villas or Yacht Club?

We always stay at the Yacht Club but this time around I actually have 2 reservations and need to decide where to stay. I have the YC booked in case my daughter decides to come because then we're 5. I also have a 1 bedroom booked in case she stays behind (she's pushing for this, she's tired of Disney!) for the weekend. I've stayed at the BWI villas before but have read mixed reviews about the villas at the Beach Club because of service. Opinions anyone?

May not be the most unbais of opinion, since we are DVC owners at BWV, but I don't think you can beat a 1 or 2 bed room at a DVC resort.

Having the full kitchen, washer and dryer, and lots of space is great.

The only big disadvantage to the 1 bedroom, is the lack of a true second bed, since it is a queen sized pull out couch.

We love staying in a 1 or 2 bedroom. Once you try one, it is really hard to go back to a standard hotel room.

I love the 1-2 bedrooms at the BWV. The washer/dryer can't be beat. It makes packing for the trip that much easier. Having a kitchen is nice. We have actually cooked breakfasts the last few times we have gone. Having separate rooms is nice too. 2 TVs......parents can go to sleep earlier and the kids can stay up later...and you are not in the same room.........

Guysm thanks for the last two posts but I had typed in the wrong resort and edited this post to reflect the Beach Club Villas! That's what happens when you are doing more than one thing at a time.
Thanks anyway for your help and hopefully someone will post about the Beach Club Villas now that I've corrected the question.

We love the BCVs. We own there and have stayed quite a few times now. Service has always been great.

The vast majority of people seem to report great stays there. But it is just like other resorts on the DIS. If someone has an issue, it gets lots of attention while all the positive reports slip to the next page.

We love it because of the short walk to Epcot, the very close parking and the secluded, quiet atmosphere of BCV with the amenties of the bustling Y&BC so near.

I did notice that you corrected the resort.

My comments regarding BWV would also apply to the 1 or 2 bedrooms at BCV.

We haven't stayed there since we own at BWV, but the room layout and everything else is the same.

I also agree with the comment that any bad experience will be hilighted on this site. We have stayed at our DVC resort the last 4 years and have not had anything go wrong!!

IMHO you can't go wrong with a DVC room.
