I think there are a couple of other recent threads that you might find with the same theme. I know I replied to one a day or so ago. We owned at BWV only until June when we added on pts at BWV and a bunch at BCV - so that we now have an even numbe of pts at each. We love BWV and believe that over the years we will likely stay there more than BCV....but right now our kids are young and they love SAB.
If you stay at either the Yacht Club, the Beach Club or BCV you may use SAB. There used to be pool hopping privileges from BWV, but once BCV opened....they had to restrict that privilege.
But to answer your most important question, I made reservations for BCV 3 mos out in April and got a 1BR for 5 nights. I had to waitlist a couple of the nights, but they came thru within 2 weeks and ultimately a couple of studios and other 1BR's became available as well....although we decided to stick with 1 unit on this trip. We couldn't get a 2BR, but might have had better luck 7 mos out. But I think the chances are good you'll find something.
By the way...it's 7 months out...to book at a "non home" resort...instead of 6. So make sure you put a note in your calendar to call in March on the day which is 7 mos out from the first day you'd like in October. Then you call every day after that until you have your full reservation. The guidelines say to call 7mos from your checkout date, but the reality is that you can do the reservation day by day and have a better chance of getting what you want.
