My family and I have a scheduled vacation for Beach club for what looks to be a time of year when the temp is in the high 60's.

So my wife and I are now thinking about changing resorts because one of the major draws for us was Stormalong Bay. With the weather looking as if the pool will be a nonfactor is the BC still worth staying at? Or would we be better off at another Deluxe where the pool isn't the major attraction?

Thanks for any replies.

I have never stayed at the Beach Club, but you can't beat the location of the Epcot resorts, in our opinion. We love being able to walk to DHS and Epcot. If there is another deluxe with a theme you like better, then I would probably switch, but otherwise, the location and theme are enough of a draw that I would just stay put!

I love the Beach Club because of the location - easy walk to two parks, one of which, Epcot, is our favorite park and where we end up every night. The Boardwalk area also has a lot to offer. The pool is great but it's not a must do when we stay there - if we get a chance, we'll use it, but don't make it a priority. If the weather is in the upper 60s, there will be plenty of people using the pool at that time of year. They claim they do heat the pools in the cooler months.

I agree with the pp that the BC is in a great location and being able to walk to Epcot and DHS can't be beat :). That would be my reason for staying there again; but I wouldn't stay there just for SAB, especially if you're going at a time when the weather can be iffy and there is a chance you wouldn't be able to swim. If Epcot and DHS are parks you will go to frequently and you want to be close for easy access, I'd stick with the BC; otherwise, if the pool is the main reason for staying there, I'd change to a different deluxe since you never know what the weather will be like ;).

BC is a great resort for a lot more than SAB. Don't get me wrong ... SAB is great... but we love the access to the other parks. The bright and airy colors. You have a character breakfast in the lobby. You also have a signature steakhouse in the connecting hotel. We love this resort even when we don't swim.

Do you have another resort in mind that you are thinking of?

It depends - if you don't normally stay deluxe and were splurging for YC/BC, I would not spend the money if I couldn't use SAB. We normally stay mod and we would love to cough up the money for YC/BC some day, and will definitely be utilizing the pool a lot. If you'd stay deluxe anyway, then it is a great location and may be worth the money for that.
