Beach Club Vs. Other WDW Resort

I am not experienced with WDW other than once, several years ago. We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. We are planning a WDW trip for early September, and I am strongly considering The Beach Club resort. I have read many reviews that state the rooms are very noisy, that walls and room doors are very thin. I am concerned that not getting a good night's sleep will ruin our vacation. Does anyone have an opinions they would like to share?

I don't think that BC's walls are any thinner than anywhere else. You will find complaints about noise and wall thickness at EVERY WDW resort.

In my experience, noise level is directly related to the people above, below and to either side, and in most cases it would entail epic soundproofing to make it quieter with some of these neighbors. Other times, you have peaceful neighbors and stuff is fine.

This is what I am hoping to hear. The inordinate number of complaints above it noisy rooms made me nervous, as if this resort has a huge problem with noise. We'd really love to give this resort a try.

You may just be encountering more complaints because it's expensive.

Expensive doesn't prevent three people from SCREAMING UP A HALLWAY at 8AM about if they forgot the sippy cup. Not that I have experienced this.

(Conference attendees are typically lovely neighbors.)

We have stayed twice at the Beach Club. Our first stay was great. Our second stay we only stayed one night, the interior or our room was awesome again...but... outside of our room the ice maker had completely soaked the carpet. There were also mechanical noises all night that kept us awake. If we had stayed longer than one night we definitely would have requested another room. We didn't hear other guests just those crazy mechanical noises!

It is a beautiful resort. The pool is great and the closeness to Epcot and Hollywood Studios is a huge bonus! Happy Planning!

The beach club is our absolute favorite. It has beautiful rooms, the best pool, dependable bussing, walking access (or boat) to Epcot and HS, walking access to mini golf (huge plus for DH and my three kids), and easy access to boardwalk and swolphin. My 14 year old son walks to Epcot during our afternoon pool time to grab lunch and bring it back.
We have never had an issue at the hotel. Always find pool seating (generally go during the summer), and the front desk cast members are great! Honestly, it's a vacation in itself.

I've stayed at BC many times and have not found it to be unusually noisy. It's a lovely resort in a great location and well worth staying at.

We did not find noise to be an issue at the Beach Club. It's a very nice resort and our kids are clamoring to get back there.

parts of the yacht club is being refurbished, maybe that's where you heard all the noise complaints from.

We stayed at the BC when they were doing room refurbishments. We didn't notice any construction noise or noise from our neighbours.

Yeah! Well from all of the help received here, I think I will go ahead and reserve rooms at the BC! I'm looking so forward to it. We are from Oregon, and I look forward to enjoying the architecture/design of this resort. It's so different from our NW design esthetic.
