We have a room only reservation at Beach Club in September, the discounts came out today and it is not included. We could switch to Boardwalk Inn to save almost $500. It took me WEEKS to decide on Beach club, we go rarely. It is just my daughter and I, we will be going to the Food and Wine festival and other parks. Should I switch? What is great about Boardwalk, besides the savings? Thanks!

Beach Club perk would be the pool and basically at the entrance to Epcot.

Other than that they are the same imo. Both Epcot resorts with nice pools. Just one has a better one and is closer to Epcot. BW is closer to HS so that is a perk in their favor and they have good food.

Honestly I would save $500 because there really is no difference.

Sounds like you should switch if the net difference from free dining and paying full price at Boardwalk is that much. It's maybe 2 minutes more walking than Beach club to the International Gateway at Epcot.

$500 buys a lot of Disney swag.

I’d personally switch to any Epcot resort for $500 savings. If it were a choice between say, AKL or a mod I wouldn’t but you’re still able to walk to two parks. Some people say they don’t like walking outside to get food but other than that there’s probably not much of a difference.

Depends on whether you plan to use the pool area. That is the biggest difference. If you intend to spend a significant amount of time at the pool, I would stay with Beach Club. If you don't plan to spend time at the pool, I would switch to Boardwalk. Boardwalk is walking distance from both EPCOT and DHS, just like YC. Boardwalk is a nice resort.

Boardwalk tends to be quieter which we like. When DD was younger, she preferred the clown pool at the Boardwalk because it was not as crowded as Storm Along Bay at the Beach Club.

Every year we say that we are going to try the BC and then every year we end up changing our minds.

The limited amounts of rooms that have a full balcony is a no-go for us. We love spending time on the patio or a full balcony.

We really love BWI and it's location. We love the pool the atmosphere and being in the middle of it all.

I would switch, $500 is a good chunck of change. YC is my favorite Epcot resort but I always just book the one that is the less, which lately has been Dolphin. BW does have full balconies and nice quiet pools. Unless you are at the very end of BC, the walk to Epcot isn't that much further than BC. BW has a more adult vibe than BC for us, although those REDRUM hallways do creep me out a bit.

I would definitely switch, but, then again, I pick our EP resorts solely based on cheapest price because I really like them all! BWI is DS10's favorite resort! He loves the nighttime entertainment on the Boardwalk, the clown slide, the carnival games at night, being able to walk to two parks and just the general atmosphere. It's a beautiful resort and a lot of fun. I would switch!

Well, its gone now so I missed it. Those Epcot resorts don't have discounts long! Just hope something comes up in the next few months! I just didn't move fast enough and my daughter wants to stay at the Beach Club anyway!

I just had to make the same decision myself. I was looking forward to staying at beach club for the first time in August, but the savings of a little over 1100 was too much to pass up. So we will stay at boardwalk. I’m really hoping the clown pool doesn’t freak my kids out too much. My son is terrified of penny wise from IT lol so I guess if he’s really scared we’ll go to the quiet pool.

I don't blame you one bit TinkerKeeks. We have not been to Disney since she was 9 except for a quick cheer comp trip 11 years ago. She is 26 and she really wanted the Beach Club. It will be fine!
