Beach Club vs AKL

We are currently booked with the BRP at AKL in a savannah view room. We have never stayed at the BC and I just checked to see if BC or YC is available for our dates with the BRP. The BC is and the cost is about the same for a standard view room at the BC. I LOVE the AKL but my DH said I should be willing to expand my horizons. So, are most of the standard rooms parking lot or dumpster views? (please don't flame me - water view is not available with BRP for my dates and I know that standard view rooms can be yucky. I am expecting a standard view room when I check in, I just don't know most of the standard rooms views are at the BC.) It is just my DH and me (both of us are 51) and we both love dining in Epcot. Most of our ADR are for Epcot restaurants. But... I love sitting on the balcony with a morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine at the AKL watching the animals. Help me please. Will I be as happy in a standard view room at the BC? The BC is so convenient to Epcot which is making it very tempting. And do all of the rooms at BC have a balcony? I need to make a decision quickly I think because neither the BC or YC have been available for our dates with the BRP for the last few weeks. I guess they just added more to the inventory. I am working on a project at work that is a year long and have been working 12+ hour days and at least 6 hours on Saturdays too. So I am looking for a little relaxation this trip and not a park commando trip. Thanks all for your advice.

We stayed at the AKL in 2004 and YC July 2005. Comparing the resorts they are 2 entirely different vacation experiences. I love the YC and BC due to their close proximity to Epcot. We ususally have most of out ADR's at Epcot as well so the ease of walking to Epcot and the time factor is very nice! If you haven't tried the BC I would!
