I can't tell you much about them, but I will say that I'll be down there at BCV with my DW at the same time. Be sure to wear your lime green ribbon! ;)

The best things IMHO is the ability to walk to EPCOT/MGM, proximity to the Boardwalk (ESPN) and SAB.

It is nice to be able to enter and exit through the International Gateway to EPCOT. You can really relax when it comes time for Illuminations at night, knowing that you only have to walk out of that exit and you are back at your resort.

What can be said about SAB other than it is the best pool outside of the water parks on property.

What type of room do you have? Did you make any requests as to location or view?

Being new to DVC, could you explain about the lime green ribbon! Thanks!

It means that you are a member of the "Dis-Board Family". It is the unofficial official color of the Dis-Boards. Many people who are Dis-Board readers and posters wear a lime green ribbon to let others know who they are.

Aladdinsgirl - we stayed there last fall & fell in love. We loved being close to EPCOT (however with 2 kids 3 & 6, we didn't go much). We loved just walking over to Boardwalk & renting surry bikes - our kids loved ringing the bell on it - so obnoxious!!! Stormalong Bay is fabulous & you must eat @ Beaches N'Cream (it's good & pretty reasonable). The burgers there are really big and if you plan on getting dessert, I would split a burger & fries, Cherry Cokes are good also. DS6 really liked Cape May Cafe, he loves Clam Chowder & tried to eat the whole pot of it.

RuthandPaul - the lime green ribbon (or anything for that matter) is the color for "Diser's", from what I understand. If you see someone wearing lime green, ask if they're a Diser - that's a DISboard "patron", This is my understanding, but if I'm wrong, please correct me.

My wife and I and some friends stayed in room 552 which was a two br dedicated and we loved it. View wise it was close to the road and there was somekind of power thing on the ground but it didnt bother us at all because we had a perfect view of Spaceship Earth. I loved looking out on the balcony and seeing it,esp. at night when it was all lit up. To me its things like that that make me so happy I bought into DVC and that BCVs is my home resort. We are going again in Nov.,this time in a 1br and I am hoping we can get a view like that again. I could sit out on the balcony with a drink and look at it all night.
Also another big thing that has been mentioned before is the location. When my wife and I were looking into buying DVC we ran into a DVC couple on the boardwalk and talked to them about DVC. I mentioned I was bummed that I couldnt buy into OKW (only selling BCV at that point)because the points and dues were cheaper. They told us that we would want to own at the the BCVs anyway, as the BC and BW villas were the preferred villas because of the location and everyone wants to be there due to all the options like being so close to Epcot and MGM and all the dining and entertainment that was there. They were right and we couldnt agree more.
Another reason that has also already been discussed is Stormalong Bay. That place is so much fun even if you dont want to swim. There is a patio to hang out on that is kinda private in the sense that there is no reason young kids will want to hang out up there, so you can relax but be right there for when you want to take a swim. We practically had the patio to ourselves.
We love the BCVs and I hope you have a great time there.

Alladinsgirl, when you're ready to go, stop by Lexington and pick me up and I'll tell you all about my "home away from home" on the way!:teeth:

You will love BCV. The location is perfect, the decor is great.

We originally bought BWV (which we love) but when we saw SAB we did a 100 points add on so we could take the grandkids there every other year.

I would love to know where this patio is? Thanks.

Its the roof of the building Hurricane Hannas and poolside gifts is in. This is a pic from the exit of the waterslide http://allearsnet.com/acc/sab25.jpg you can see the building with the patio or at least thats what I call it on top. Now I dont want to make it sound like there would never be any kids up there, but I dont see why they would want to be because it isnt the same level as the pool, and theres nothing up there besides chairs that would make them want to go there inless their parents are up there. Also I cant see too many parents with young children there because they couldnt keep a good eye on their kids from up there. I liked it because we could get sun when we wanted to or shade if we got to hot. Also without children around us we didnt feel so bad having a couple adult beverages while we relaxed. I plan on hanging out there again on my next visit in Nov.
Heres another pic of poolside gift and the "patio" on top
