we are considering buying at beach club.we are real novices! we do own a couple of marriott timeshares at palm beach shores,fl. and want to learn more about disney's.
we have 3 children and can travel only around their vaca schedules. they are pres. week,easter, thanksgiving, and christmas weeks. is magic season our best bet? pls. help.

Welcome to the DIS!

You may want to start by reading the DVC FAQ (link is at the top of the page). That will give you some starting information. You should also call DVC at 1-800-800-9100 and request the free video and information packet.

DVC is not a fixed week program, your contract will be represented by a fixed number of points (renewed annually) that may be used to "pay" for the nights you wish to reserve. You will not be buying "magic" season- just using your points to make a reservation when you are able to go.

You can get an idea of how many points you may need by using the DVC Point Calculator or DVC Point Chart (links also at the top of the page).

If you wish to purchase at BCV, you will have to consider a resale since the resort sold out this past summer. <a href="http://www.dvc-resales.com">The Timeshare Store</a> is the sponsor of this site and has helped many here with their DVC purchases.

We also have three kids and our home resort is Beach Club Villas.

We love it. The kids love the 3-acre pool. The nice thing about DVC is, you can go any week you want as long as you have the points. This is what I like about DVC so much, I am not locked into going the same time every year. I make the trip work to my schedule. Doc's post is an great description!
