Beach Club Villas

Has anyone been in the 1 bedroom villa? Can you tell me a good section/room to try to book? I've got two little ones so I don't want to be too far from everything but I also don't want to be in the middle of noise either.

It's only one building, only 5 stories high. You will want either a water/pool view (quiet pool, plus the canal around the building - not the lake or SAB), Epcot view (might get the roadway as well) or the courtyard view (the courtyard between BCV and BC). Don't request a specific room since you might not get it and then you won't get anything. Request view, maybe high up or low down, non-smoking, in order of what is most important to you.

The resort isn't really close to any of the action of the BC/YC and any elevator will get you as close as you need. You will still walk to the BC/YC area from the BCV. It's not that noisy unless you are near someone who is noisy. It was rather peaceful when we were there last summer.

hey there wdwc2! welcome to the DIS boards!

The BCV are beautiful, a calm and relaxing resort. I have visisted the BCV several times, and stayed at the yacht club (right next to it) a few times. I will be staying at the BCV for my first tim ethis Saturday!
After going to see them, and researching as well, I have decided to request a pool view. seems like the nicest, quietest view. the Epcot (spaceship earth) view is great, but only because of spaceship earth, otherwise it can be noisy from the road, and only the upper floors would be any good.

We were in a 2 bedroom, Courtyard view and found it to be very peaceful and as close to everything we needed. When we go again in 2004, I think I will request this view only because Epcot views are very few and waterviews could get you the canal and not the pool. But truth be told, I don't think I would be disappointed anywhere we were placed.

Be sure to visit Beaches and Cream and order the "Kitchen Sink"...and also have a few friends/family members handy to help you finish it off!!

BCV's are the best! I am going to be there tommorrow morning! Woo Hoo! I have also been there before. Our kids are 5 and 6 and we really enjoyed the Spaceship Earth / Illuminations view because we would come home early at night, get the baths done and then go sit out on the balcony and watch illuminations and then just put the kids to bed right after they were done!

We're stay @BCV in Octobler...just booked yesterday...2bedroom. I'm looking for any info anyone has...this is first ime stying on any property, dh and ds(4 yrs) firsttime there. My parents are coming too. Does anyone knoe if Illuminations takes place in October? Thinking about requesting Epcot view for that reason. DH wants pool view, but if we can sit on our Balcony and see Illuminations that would be Great!! Any other tips are definately welcome!! Many Thanks! This board has helped soooo much!

MermaidsMom.... Just wanted to warn you that the only downfall to the view with both the spaceship earth and illuminations is that there is a road below your room as well, some have reported that the noise from the room bothered them and some have said it didn't. We don't feel it bothered us at all. The bonus to this room was that there was a canel that was also below the room and there was an alligator in the canel that my kids really loved going out every morning to see. We stayed in 2 rooms at the BCV so far and our 2nd room also had an illuminations view, which was really important to us, but it didn't have a spaceship earth view, it was a very quiet woods/wetlands view. So its a toss up, do you want the view with Spacehip Earth, Illuminations, Road and Canel or do you want Illuminations, Woods/Wetlands. We really liked the first one the best! Let me know which one you are looking at and what size room (studio, 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom) and I can give you a room # suggestion. Just be forewarned that some people suggest that it is better to ask for a view as opposed to a specific room number.

We are staying in a 2 bed in May. One consideration is not having a long walk to the room/elevator. I don't know if that will be possible and also getting a view.

Rooms 527/529 are a 2 bedroom Lock-off that are just 2 doors down from the main elevators and have a view of Illuminations and woods/wetlands.

Room 467 is a dedicated 2 bedroom that will have the illuminations, spaceship earth, canel and road view. This room is further down the hall from the main elevators, but really close to the 2nd elevator which takes you down to the quiet pool area and is closer to the parking lot and bus stop.

We are DVC members and have stayed in a studio at BCV. All we ask for is non smoking. We got a room that waas on the side away from th pool. we could see the high fireworks from our room. It was hard to hear the music. It was great being able to walk to EPCOT. You may want to wonder over to the DVC board and ask some questions there about BCV. You will get plenty of opinions and help over there too. You guys have a very magical trip. You will find the villas very relaxing after a day at WDW.
