I am trying to decide where to stay in late July.

I have already asked for some opinions on the Swan with a rate of 129.

Now, I am thinking of looking into the the BCV.
ARe they nice? clean? How close to Epcot compared to Boardwalk? How far from Stormalong Bay to walk to? My kids would definitely like that. We have stayed at the BWV once when we got a good deal.
I was looking into renting points from a DVC member,
Any suggestion or advice would be great.
Also, thinking about other deluxe resorts, but I just can't decide.
My husband thinks I am driving myself crazy.

Loved our BCV stay. We also rented points and couldn't believe our fortune to have gotten such a luxurious villa for such a reasonable price. The walk to Epcot is less than 5 minutes. Same to SAB. If there was one drawback staying in the YC/BC area is the lack of food court, or "snack" restaurant. But that's it...no other con as far as we're concerned.

Just returned from stay at BCV. I agree w/ all the prev poster said, but wanted to point out that even though there's no food court, we didn't miss it b/c of the kitchen. We had plenty of snacks (for much cheaper) & breakfast food that we brought from home. They also have quite a few things down in the gift shop--The one end has a freezer/refrig section, & I even saw apples, bananas, etc. Of course, we had plenty plus we took a free grocery stop offered by our pick-up at the airport to purchase milk, juice, etc. But boy, were we in trouble when we discovered they had the Nestle Toll House ice cream sandwich things you can get in the park!! Glad we didn't make that discovery until the last day:p Enjoy your trip whatever you decide!!

Dh and I stayed there in Sept. for our 15th anniversary and loved it! It's so convenient to Epcot, the pool is the absolute best at WDW (though a few minutes longer to get to from the villas than BC itself), the rooms are clean and new and the CMs at BC are great in our experience. We loved it so much that we've rented points from another DVC owner for a family trip in May! Our sons (7 and almost 5) are going to love it!!! We've also rented points for stays at BWV and WLV, and so far BCV is my favorite. I would highly recommend renting points thru a DVC owner and staying at BCV instead of the Swan. The only downside to staying at BCV through rental points is that you don't get daily housekeeping (I think they change sheets and towels every 3 days)... If you wanted to pay extra for daily housekeeping, however, you could. We've never had a problem with it, but I know that some people might.

If you need further information, let me know!

Take care,
Sarah

We're renting points and staying in the BCV in August and can't wait! How was the transportation to MK and MGM? Also, is there any kind of snack bar at the pool?

Pam

There is a snack bar at the pool (Hurricane Hannah's, I believe), which has a nice (albeit expensive!) selection of food and beverages. The transportation to MGM is good -- it's by boat. If you feel like taking a long walk, you could also get there that way. Epcot is literally steps away -- phenomenally close! The only two parks you need to take the bus to are MK and AK. Dh and I didn't have too much trouble getting to either park when we were there in Sept., though the buses, generally speaking, are a bit of a drag. The BC bus also stops at the BWI/BWV, Swan and Dolphin and the YC whenever you go anywhere. Our worst bus excursion was, ironically enough, at night when we were trying to get back from DD... It took forever to do the drop off/pick up of Swan/Dolphin guests as there was obviously some sort of convention going on at the Dolphin... Ugh, it took forever to get back!! Other than that, I'd say the accessibility is pretty good at BCV. We'd stayed at WLV before and although I loved the boat ride to MK and the Contemporary, it was a real pain having to take buses to all the other parks.

Have a great trip,
Sarah

If you stay at a DVC resort for less than 8 days, you get clean towels and the trash removed on day 4. If you stay 8 or more days, you get a full cleaning on day 4 and clean towels again on day 8. In a one bedroom, you will get 4 bath towels. You can pay extra for daily cleaning. I think it is $30/day for a one bedroom.
