Beach Club Villas

Hello, we are heading down to WDW 4 weeks from today !!! I am starting to get nervous, however, about our resort. We will be staying BCV and now I am seeing reviews not so favorable. Anyone out there stayed there recently? Our last trip was wonderful @ BLT. Thanks !

Heading to the Beach Club Villas in 10 days. I really enjoy this resort. We are DVC members and we own here and at the Boardwalk. When we bring family along we stay at the Beach Club because it's a small resort and I think very homey. I've stayed here about 7 times now and have had no problems so I'm hoping you will enjoy your stay.

Stayed there in March & no complaints. Room was great, resort is incredible, the proximity to Epcot is unbeatable. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

We stayed there last Aug. and loved the villas. We had stayed at the BWVs since they opened and couldn't get in there last year. We actually liked the BCVs even more. The room was great, housekeeping was always spotless, and BC in general is great. We will be returning again for our yearly trip in Aug. There are a lot of great reviews out there for the BCVs, its just that the negative ones take over.

Where do you see negative reviews that upset you? Have you reviewed the YC/BC Thread which includes the villas?
We are heading down in 3 days. I can't wait. I am "picky" and I love the BCV

You will see positive and negative reviews for every resort on property - so take them with a grain of salt. Most people don't come here to post when everything goes right - they post to complain or vent.

I stayed at BCV three times last year, and I will be there again in September - I haven't had any big issues there at all. The only problem I have ever had was last September. I checked in and the door to my microwave was cracked to the point I felt it would be unsafe to operate. I contacted maintenance right away, and an hour later I had a brand new microwave (I was in a 1BR, so they had to install it, not just set it on a shelf). I felt that was a very prompt response, so I don't consider that to be a real "problem".

When I stay in the Epcot resorts area, I generally alternate between BCV and BWV, and I have had great vacations at both.

Love the BCV! We've been lucky enough to stay twice in the last two years - I'm not sure about the bad reviews.... We really like the villas, the overall resort, definitely the main pool, Hurricane Hannah's (the pool bar), the location, the movies on the beach, the watersides, the character breakfast...I could go on and on. This resort has it all.

Downside - I'll be honest to me the only real downside to this resort is the sometimes terrible bus service. And it is only sometimes terrible b/c it can be shared with the YC, Swan, Dolphin and Boardwalk. But, the bus service alone would not prevent me from staying there again.

One thing I'd advise - request a room close to the Marketplace. I'd much rather be close to the Marketplace, no matter what floor, than all the way at the end of the hallway close to the parking lot. Look at the map when they give you your room assignment - if you think it looks farther away than you'd like, it never hurts to request a different room.

We have stayed at the BCV the last 2 trips and we LOVE it . It is such a pretty, quiet, and cozy resort. I really like laying around the quiet pool because it is so relaxing and quiet there, unlike SAB which can be crowded at times (don't get me wrong I am still in love with SAB, but when I want to relax I head over to BCV's quiet pool). We are DVC members and would love to own there some day. You are going to really enjoy BCV, don't worry about the negative reviews...remember, people tend to write more about the negatives rather than the positives. Have a great trip.
