So after MUCH deliberation (and I mean MUCH) we have finally confirmed flights and lodging- F.I.N.A.L.L.Y.

We are staying in a 1 bedroom at the Beach Club Villas in May. When trying to find view ideas I keep getting mixed opinions. ie. some say you can see the ball while others say the trees are overgrown, same with fireworks.

My question- is there a shot to see the ball/fireworks from our balcony?? If so, what do we request?? I think it is woods view, highest floor, closest to Epcot with a larger balcony- sound right???

BCV isn't known for the views. It was built behind the BC on the old CM parking lot. So you might get a pool view (Dunes Cove Pool, not Stormalong Bay) with the parking lot just beyond. There is a possibility of getting a tiny view of Spaceship Earth and some of the higher Illuminations fireworks. But it isn't a view you can request. There is no Epcot view to request. You could request woods view, but you might just get the woods and the road. We had such a view and we could hear the fireworks, but not see them.

The "Epcot" view is so poor that MS doesn't list it as a choice. On that side of the building, there is a service area and you are above Epcot Resorts Blvd so there can be road noise.

We own at BCV and the IMO the best view is the pool view.

If you want to see fireworks, talk at walk to the bridge going to ESPN.

Better yet. Take the short walk over to Epcot and watch from the bridge going to France. You'll be back at the BCV in five minutes.

Thanks- just not fond of pool views- any other options??

A view of a wet area with trees or a view towards the BC lawn area between the BC and BCV. That view is close to the valet/DME bus area.

I don't know how you would request them so the room assigner knows what you want.

My bridge doesn't require park admission but your bridge is a better view. :goodvibes

Thanks everyone. We will have 7 day hoppers so going to Epcot to see the fireworks really isn't the issue.

I just like to keep the "magic" the whole time. Something about seeing the ball from our room- even if just the top of it- just seems more magical. A view of the basic quiet pool doesn't seem too magical so I am just looking for something that, when I look out our balcony, I think "yep- we are at Disney".

Also, we have two little ones so a good amount of time will be spent relaxing at our balcony during the trip.

I wouldn't consider the balcony with the ball view if any, relaxing. As I posted you are above/next to a road that you can see and hear and the vehicles driving by can see you.

Unfortunately BCV isn't an iconic view Disney resort. If you don't want the pool view, the woods view may be your best bet.

Here is a link to a map of BCV.

I really like the canal view. I do use my balcony, and find the lights of the building reflecting off the canal just heavenly.:goodvibes

I've had some fireworks views, but do not think they were so great that I would try to request one.

Just so you can see - this is what you can see of fireworks from the side that faces towards Epcot. I was headed over to see Hallowishes from TOTWL otherwise I would have walked down to the bridge to see the fireworks - the view of fireworks from the room just isn't that good.

This is the view from the "woods" side - ie, not the pool, not Epcot and not the wing at the front section of the resort. And the bad thing is it has tiny balconies - at least from this particular section of rooms.

BCV is so small and nothing to particularly rave about for views so we've never done requests other than possibly high floor. Even with a request I would not count on receiving it.

Could see the 'sky level' fireworks. We enjoyed it. We didn't hear any car traffic altho we could see it - guess being on the top floor eliminated the noise.

Hi. I usually ask for Woods View toward EPCOT and upper floor. I do not mind seeing just a glimpse of Epcot from my balcony and I like being up high. :) I am NOT a Pool view person at BCV either and have turned it down a few times. Whatever you like is worth requesting. If it is not what you get at check-in you can always ask NICELY if something else will be available. Sometime waiting a little longer for a room will get you what you want. pixiedust: Joan

I'm also trying to figure out what to request for our stay at BCV. Do all of the woods view rooms have small balconies - can you actually sit out there? Also, what balconies would have sun in the morning? We are used to a Boardwalk view but are looking forward to the short walk into Epcot :-)

Thanks for the help!

This is perfect- thanks for the picture. Did you give any requests to get that view?
