Beach Club villas noise at 530

There has been screaming hooting and sounds like a party going on since 530 am and still going on somewhere near BCVillas. What is going on? Very loud. Is it a protest? So exhausted !!!

I saw some posts about runDisney at Epcot this morning. So that could be it.

I would be annoyed as well if trying to sleep, but these races start at 5:00 and people are on transportation well earlier than that.

It’s really no different from fireworks at night for those of us who go to bed early. It’s a downside of staying near a park.

Runners will eventually make their way down Sunset Blvd and past Fantasmic before continuing their race outside of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The race will start in the EPCOT parking lot, head through World Showcase, and then head to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests will race past The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror to the other side of the park, hitting the 4-mile mark between Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land. The route then takes them out of the park and back towards EPCOT.

As one who's run some of those early morning races, DH would say that everyone's yelling and jumping up and down to wake themselves up-so sorry they're also waking you up!
We stayed at BCV for Marathon weekend, but come to think of it, we were on a different side of the resort. You may have just taught BCV's goers something to check on before they make room requests when they go to BCV.

Definitely check the rundisney website before booking future trips.

Some of the events (usually 10Ks) go right past BCV and/or BWV. It's tremendous fun for the runners and walkers when guests of those resorts come out (or just to their balconies) to cheer and clap. To know that they got out of their cozy beds to lend support brings many people to tears from the kindness to total strangers. If you ever do book at an event time, do consider being one of those amazing people who support strangers!

In 2017 DD & DSiL were registered for the Marathon Weekend Half Marathon to take place on Saturday morning. Friday night a terrible thunderstorm passed through, and the half marathon was cancelled because they wouldn’t have time to set up for it after the storm passed. We were at dinner when DD got the message, and she put her head down and cried her eyes out. The next morning, she and DSiL joined the numerous other runners on the Epcot resorts to DHS loop, putting in their 13 miles, and from our BWV balcony it was wonderful to see the support they were getting! Even the restaurant CMs were out clapping and cheering! It was very special!

PS we were out on our balcony Friday AM too, cheering on the 10K runners!
