Beach Club Villas first stay

I've owned at Beach Club since 2007 but never stayed there. Always used my extra points at BWV my other home. Now I've got a studio for the last half of my week in December. I hesitated on booking the week, and then had to piece together a split stay with Boardwalk.

I'm looking forward to it. I will be there on my own. Looking at the map, the BCV are in behind the Beach Club resort. Is the walk from the lake area to the villas well lit? Is there an indoor way to get there?

Is the check in desk close to the villas? How about the Beach Club Market Place, is that an easy walk from the villas? I'm not sure of the lay of the land.

The walk from the villas to the main BC building is about 25-30 yards, outside but it is covered and well lit. If you are use to the hallway at BW, you will not mind the shorter walks at BCV.
Check in is at the normal BC lobby, but if you do online check in you can just go to your unit.
The market place is right inside the main building, as I mentioned above. So 25-30 yards.

The walk between the BCV and BC is under cover. There is a back walk between BCV and Epcot that bypasses the BC lobby but I would walk it at night.

When we were there last March we checked in at the DVC desk in the villas. However, the desk is not always staffed.

There are two elevator banks at BCV which beats the single elevator bank at BWV. One is kind of centrally located (like BWV) and the other is closer to the parking lot entrance. If you drive, you will find parking more convenient at BCV.

You're right about the long hallways at BWV, I always seem to be close to the end of the building. It will be nice to have shorter walks for the last half of my stay.
