Beach Club Villas- Check In

Hi all.

I have an upcoming stay scheduled for the BCVs. I have never stayed there before.

I see that Online check-in is available for my stay. I have never done on-line check in before either.

What are the advantages/disadvanatges of the online check in process vs. the front desk?

If I do the online check-in, where do I enter the BCV? Do I still go in thru the main entrance of the BC and then thru an interior entrance or is there a separate exterior entrance?

I'm not sure if they are doing in-person check in.

Do the online check-in. They will text you your room number when your room is ready. You go directly to your room bypassing the front desk totally. You can look up a map of the property to see where your room is or just follow the signs. Use your magic band or MDE app to open your door.

The villas are a separate building so no need to enter the main building if you are just going to your room, plus there is a mini-check in desk there in the villas lobby that has been staffed due to those being the only open rooms. If you come by magical express, once you get off the bus, it is the green building on your left (slightly behind you). If you drive, park in the lot in front of the green building (you will turn left to park), not in the lot by the bus loop (the lot on the right).

There's really no disadvantage to doing online check-in. WDW is encouraging it to avoid too many folks at the front desk, and most are receiving their room number via text so you can go directly to your room on arrival. That said, you are still able to physically stop at the front desk any time you'd like -- check-in or otherwise.

The BCV were built on the old CM parking lot at the BC. So none of the villas have much of a view. So there are no real views to request. Just in case you were wondering.

• Is the BCV lobby concierge desk currently staffed?
• Same questions for the regular Beach Club lobby - what's the check in/concierge area there like right now?
