I'm interested in renting a studio at the BCV for 9 nights. There are three adults, a child and a baby in our party. We've stayed at the BC Resort in the past, and loved it!!! But it's getting too expensive. Any help is much appreciated!

1. Is the pull out couch uncomfortable for this length of time?

2. Is the bed as comfortable as the beds in the resort?

3. The tv/dresser is sooo small in the pics. The dresser only has 4 drawers. Can you request an extra dresser like the ones they have at the resort? Or is there storage somewhere else in the room that I'm not seeing?

4. I need ground floor. Does anyone know of room numbers that are closest to the villa pool?

5. How much is it to pay for maid service when using DVC points?

6. As a renter, can I purchase an Annual Passholder Park Pass at the DVC Member rate?

7. How many bath towels do you get at the beginning of your stay?

8. Can you request wake-up calls?

9. What time does the pool close by the villa?

I'll address a combo of questions #1 and #3 and state that I think 9 days in a studio with three adults, one child, and a baby will be uncomfortable regardless of the condition of the sofabed. Where would you put the additional furniture if they did bring it in? Is it doable.... I suppose. But it sounds like you'll be all over each other.

1. I have sleep on the sleeper sofa - they are fine.

2. I find DVC beds more comfortable - I have a bad back - so I appreciate a harder bed.

3. there is a closet next to the sinks in the bathroom area. in some rooms there is a second closet (???)

4. I won't get a ground floor here - why because the way the walkaway is designed - there is a lack of privacy for these units.

5. $25 per day for mousekeeping. (believe me you won't need it - unless your group is very, very messy)

6. No - only DVC member can purchase it and only family members staying in THEIR households - believe me this is a pain for people like me - singles who live alone but take family members with us.

7. there will 4 bath towels - you can get more for $6

8. Yes - you can get Mickey Mouse.

9. I don't remember - 10 or 11 pm???? - although some people will probably be in after the closing hour.

the question you didn't ask - room service is also included.

but first 3 adults even with 2 small kids is going to be tight. So I hope you are all good friends....

the baby must be under 3 and fit in the crib - or you can't do this.

Welcome to the DIS. :)

1) It depends on your back.
2) I would think so. The beds at BCV are pretty darn comfortable.
3) Not much storage as I recall. Can't request a different dresser I don't think.
4) Can't help on this.
5) Don't remember the rates exactly, but full maid service is at least $30 per day as I recall.
6) NOOOOOO!!!!
7) 4
8) Yes.
9) Not sure.

Thank you for all of your quick replies. The five of us have stayed at the Beach Club Resort and it was comfortable. My little one is only 2 years old and the pack and play is fine for her. I was just worried about an adult sleeping on the sofa for nine nights.

Paying for extra towels - what does $6 get you? We use a lot of towels when where at the resort. We take two showers a day times five people? That's a lot of towels. What do people do?

We would love a room near the villa pool.

Is there a laundry room near the pool as well?

no the laundry room is on the 4th floor.

I think it get you 4 more towels, plus the other stuff.

I just wash my towels. Of course in a studio I have never attempted more than 2 people.

it is florida - if you hang the towels properly - they will dry pretty fast.
