Beach Club to Yacht Club?

The search button is not working so I can't find the answer to this. What time is a "safe" time to eat at Beaches n Cream if I have to be at the Yacht Club by 8 for an Illuminations cruise? Is 5 early enough? 430?? This is on April 17th. How far is one from another?

It is a 5-10 minute walk.

They are sister resorts and are literally right next to each other. It takes about 5 minutes to walk from one to another. I don't know how long you plan on eating, but I would start walking over around 7:40, so a 4:30 or 5:00 meal might leave you with a lot of extra time. I would go with closer to 6:00.

Don't confuse Beaches N Cream with regular restaurants. If you wanted to eat somehwere where a waiter or waitress served you then you would want to allow extra time. Beaches is a small establishment that serves burgers and ice cream. The longest wait time you will have there is if you have to wait for a table since the place is small. The meal itself will not take you long.
I understand that at times the wait could be quite long. You may want to have a backup plan in place just in case. There are many restaurants in the area (Epcot resort area). You can walk to all of them in 5-10 minutes. Check out all the WDW menus on allearsnet.com. Look up Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Swan and Dolphin.

I would try to get there around 6pm, just to play it safe that there is not a long wait, since you can not ,make any sort of reservation there.
IF, you arrive and find a very long wait, you could eat poolside at the outdoor "Hurricane Hanna's Grille"
