We have a stay coming up at Beach Club in a studio in a few weeks and have only stayed in a 1 bedroom. Are all the layouts about the same at Beach Club for the studios or are there some alternative layouts I should be aware of like Grand Floridian not all having balconies? What is your favorite room request for those who stay in studios? What type of coffee maker should I expect to find? Now that we have been staying in studios more-I have found that it varies more than you would expect from one DVC resort to the next :)

Thanks in advance!

The coffee pot should be a drip pot taking flat bottom filters - unless during the current refresh they put in the combo drip + Keurig pots that take cone filters! Could be 4 cup or 12 cup but you can call Housekeeping if you need the other size. I can’t answer anything else!

I was really surprised that the studio I was in last week took cone filters. However, I used the coffee the resort supplied (which, ironically, was more a "fit" for flat bottom drip coffee pots). Also, the Cone was a narrow gauge screen, so I'm not sure you need filters. All the other studios I've had (at least 15) have the flat bottom drip coffee makers. They've all had balconies, some large-huge, some very small. I haven't found any particular floor or view that gives different size balconies. Last week, the studio I had had a very small balcony, and out of curiosity, since my view of other balconies was wide open, I tried to make sense of size of balcony. Most people say that the views from BCV are nothing special, but I like the woods view, the inside part of the "C". I definitely don't like facing the road-sitting on your balcony, you hear all the traffic go by, especially the buses when they go under the road-bridge.

Those are generally washable, reusable filters.

I haven't seen the combos, but the way you describe it sounds like reusable cone filters I've used.

I have a single cup pour-over one at home that I love. So easy to use and clean.

Thanks for the advice. I am a major coffee drinker and always end up surprised so I now try to bring it all but I wish I could avoid that by just knowing the type of coffee maker provided. I saw Beah Club is in the middle of a refurb. Was your room possibly already refurbed and thats the new coffee maker they are using?

Yes, we have both kinds in our Owners Locker, and when we stay in timeshares outside of Orlando we bring both now!

We stayed in a studio back in 2017 that had a long, covered balcony - much larger than the usual BCV balconies. It was a woods view that faced in Epcot's direction, I think, but couldn't see anything. The covered balcony was good for turning our double stroller upside down to drain and dry out after a torrential downpour one evening.
