Beach club studio in summer

Just curious, new DVC member here, taking our first DVC trip in October at VWL. I was starting to look at next years plans and wondering what my chances would be at a studio for 6-7 nights sometime during the summer next year at BCV at 7 months? Are chances better at BWV? We'd like to try Beach Club since we haven't stayed there, but have stayed at BWV.

In general, the summer months are easier to book at 7 months than most other times of the year. Those who are successful usually book online at exactly 8 am.

IMO, you have a good chance for BCV, especially since you are flexible and an even better chance for BWV (Pool/Garden view).

We have managed to get studios at both BCV and BWV at 7 months for mid-late August.

Thanks for the insights. With my wife being a school teacher we are forced into vacationing certain times of year, but the good thing about her summers are that we can pretty much go any part of a 2 month period. I'm hoping for July next summer, then June the next so that we can get two trips out of an AP. that is, unless they renew the military tickets. If those are renewed we'll wait longer for an AP!

If you jump on right at 7 months I'm sure you'd get one. I got a 2br at BCV for 4 nights at the tall end of food and wine...I got online right at 8am

I wonder if it is easier to get BC at 7 months or less because it costs more points. We just rented points & got a studio beginning of July.

Good for you! We had luck at 7 months for the 4th of July time frame a few years ago. It could be the higher points that give people a chance to get in at 7 months.
