Beach Club Standard View?

I have had a pool view and a wooded view the times I have stayed at the BCV. I have never had an Epcot view, and don't care if I ever do. The Epcot view puts you on the road side, and I'd rather look at the pool or the wooded area than watch the buses all day on the off chance that I might see the higher IllumiNations fireworks.

I have to say that I liked the pool view very much. We have had the first floor, where we literally walked out the patio doors, across the grass and to the pool. We have also been higher up, which is fine as well.

The last time we were there, there were ducks that swam in the pool, and the mother had just had babies, and it was adorable to watch them!!!![/

Since the "room ready" discussions started almost a year ago, we have sold our DVC membership. Although we love Disney and have been once since we sold, there are so many more options outside of DVC. Without the advance request, there is absolutly no reason to pay membership fees. I hope somone at Disney reads over these boards and realizes how frustrated so many of us are since the "room ready" policy was implemented. For the first time in many years, we are exploring other vacation options, Disney isn't one of them for this year.

I hate the room ready policy also, for us, we live in Seattle and without flying in a day early (taking an add'l days vacation, paying an add'l day of car rental fees and paying for another hotel to stay in since we had to come in one day early) our flights don't arrive until 5pm-so we're 'punished' with the 'dregs' of what is left over. My first and LAST visit to BWV was a nightmare. It was so bad, we've sold since then. I was put in a smoking room (and I'm a medical no smoking room person), bathroom never cleaned, garbage still in the garbage cans and food in the fridge!). It was fixed after I had not only the manager of the resort and the housekeeping manager come to my room, but it left one heck of a poor first impression. Now, when I make my ressies, I let them know I'll be arriving late and don't expect the leftovers. I pay alot of money for DVC (as we all do) and don't expect to be adding add'l costs to this just because I live on the West coast. (sorry for ranting)
