Beach Club - Standard View?

As of right now we have a standard view at the BC, what exactly can we expect? We're not going to be in the room alot but would still like a decent view. Will we be happy with the standard?
 
We had a standard room several years ago that looked out over the covered front entryway. We had a small balcony and it was nice at night. We could see some of the fireworks at Epcot from there.

You are right, you won't be in there much and sometimes it is not worth the extra cost.

We had a courtyard view at WL once out of the three times we went and I loved it but would not pay that much again.
 
I got a standard view room at the BC last year, I did my best to be charming at the front desk, and the CM broke out the room floor plan and assigned me to the "best standard view room he could find." It was a full-sized room, two queens and a daybed, overlooked Stormalong Bay. It was one room removed from the water view because it had a tree and the edge of a roof partially blocking the view. But I had a full balcony in half shade, and I could see the Boardwalk at night. I think it was #3679. I would definitely recommend being as charming as possible at the front desk.
