Beach Club room question

I checked out the photos of the Beach Club rooms and I noticed a photo of a small sofa/daybed in the pic. Is this for real?? It doesn't mention it anywhere in the literature. We are a family of 5 and we usually stay at the Poly but want to shake things up a little. I thought about saving a few bucks and trying POR but decided against it because of the tight quarters. My youngest isn't yet three so a small bed is no big deal.

Yes "most" rooms have a sofa daybed.

And those "small" beds were quite comfortable and fit this 5'3" person just fine. It was like a twin bed.

Yes, but there are also some rooms that have the 2 chairs and small table in lieu of the daybed. We requested the daybed/sofa when we went in December and got it

Do you just request that type of room upon arrival?. Will we aautomatically get one becasue we have 5 (one under three)in our party?

If you can, try calling Disney reservations now w/ your confirmation # and request it if you can based on the # of people in your party.... when you're checking in, they may not have one of those rooms available-though I think the majority of the rooms do have the sofa ... there's no harm in trying ahead of time though just to guarantee it! GL! Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Our room had a sofa/daybed. I believe most of them do, but like pp said, I would put in the request just to make sure. I actually liked the BC alot better than the POLY and would stay there again any day!

If you have stayed at the Poly before, you would have had a daybed there. We loved the daybed.

Just back from Beach Club. We had one queen size bed, a sofa which could be a narrow twin bed and a chair that pulled out to a twin bed.
