Beach Club Resort vs. Beach Club Villas?

I was checking out the other hotels in the area in case I couldn't get the reservation I needed and came across the site "Other Disney Hotels". I looked up Beach Club and they had a 1-BR suite for $560 per night and something called a 1-BR Nantucket suite for $840. On the chart for Beach Club Villas, however, a 1-BR is listed as $435 per night.
I suppose my question is--what is the difference between the 2 rooms--both in the same hotel and a 1-BR? for a substantial difference in price? If I wanted to rent a 1-BR, which would I get--a DVC room not being reserved or some other higher-quality 1-BR in the same hotel? Not that I would pay this much for it, but I am curious.

In a sense they are not the same "hotel." Yes, Beach Club and Beach Club Villas are in the same complex, but they are in different buildings.

I tried to look on the net real quick to see what the suites in the Beach Club Hotel look like, but could not find it.

I can tell you about Beach Club Villas. BCV is part of the Disney Vacation Club time share program. One bedroom suites at the villas have a master bedroom with a king, jacuzzi and large walk-in shower. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room, along with a kitchen for cooking full meals. These rooms also have two color TV's...washer/dryer...dishwasher & a DVD player. Villa suites are available to the public only when not being used by DVC members, and they are frequently completely booked.

I suspect the hotel suites do not offer as much, even though you will be charged more.

Look into becoming a DVC member yourself. For a free video, go to www.disneyvacationclub.com

Disney suites don't have a kitchen (I think most have a wet bar). But most of them are MUCH nicer than a DVC room. They are really beautiful - individually designed and decorated. I think they figure if you are paying $1000 a night for a room, you aren't going to be making your own eggs in the morning or throwing in a load of wash.

Also, if I am not mistaken, a suite over at the BC Resort entitles you to concierge regardless of what floor your suite is on.

Sorry there was a web site I was going to post but the board won't let me.

If you search Google for Disney suites, you will find sites with photos and info, and the one Mick&Min2001 tried to post will be near the top of the list. ;)

In response to Doug Wolfe, I am a DVC owner at the BCV. That's why I was curious about these other suites being offered.
Thanks for the good info. I'll check out these other sites to see how the rooms differ.
