Beach Club Resort or Studio Villa Room

The only reason we have cancelled and rescheduled is due to COVID. Of course, it’s most likely there will

Do standard rooms come with a coffee maker? That is a big deal. I wish they had balconies though.

The standard rooms have the small, pod coffee makers that only make one cup at a time. The villas will have a full-size coffee maker.

You had asked about food availability at BWI and, while I don't have a specific answer about that, I can say I vastly prefer the set-up at BCV as there is a covered walkway leading from the villas to the BC QS and the main BC lobby. I also like BWV, but really dislike having to go all the way out to the Boardwalk to access QS and restaurants. It's particularly annoying when it's raining, IMHO.

Pre-DVC me stayed in BC and the YC. At the Yacht club we were always lucky enough to get a balcony or a veranda. The BC we had the Juliette balcony, a balcony that barely held 2 chairs and twice the slider to no balcony. Once we joined DVC and stayed in the BCV we always have a decent sized balcony, although the view has been interesting. For the same price, I would choose the Villa for the kitchenette however beware that there are studio villas very far away from the main BC building and your view might be a loney version of a Charlie Brown pine.

Thanks for your thoughts and feedback. I think for functional purposes the villa studio would be better for us. For convenience purposes, the resort rooms would be better. Something to think about for sure!

I ended up moving to the BC villa deluxe studio room. Mostly because the kitchenette gives us a little flexibility with saving a little money if we need it. It's also just the two of us so we only need one bed. The disney rep did say that the villas are a little closer to Epcot (though that wasn't the reason we moved).

Thanks for everyone's feedback! It was very much appreciated!

A regular resort room at the Beach Club is nicer than a deluxe studio at BVC, imo, because it is a little larger, has two queen beds, two sinks in the bathroom, and many of them have a daybed. The downside is that only 50% of the BC resort rooms have the full balcony.

The benefit of the studio is the kitchenette and a guaranteed balcony, but it only has one queen bed and only one sink in the bathroom. You will get normal housekeeping - whatever that may be in August/September if you reserve the BCV studio through Disney. You will get limited housekeeping if you purchase points for the studio.

The cash reservation (through Disney) is 100% refundable while the points reservation usually isn't 100% refundable.

I had no idea that BCV Deluxe Studio only had one queen bed...we are a group of 4 adults and are thinking it's probably going to be cramped. My partner's parents used their DVC points to book the room for us not knowing about the bed situation, so we're going to see if we can adjust to a room at the beach club with two queens (that way no one is forced to sleep on the sleeper sofa in the studio). Although, the chances of availability are probably slim at this point (we're going April 2022). Wish I read this thread before booking! We usually stay in the two bedroom villas, so we had no idea about the studios.

The second bedroom in a dedicated two bedroom villa will have two queen beds, so the parents might not have realized that the studio has one queen bed and a sofa bed.
