Beach Club really this much???

I just priced BC with CR for a standard room and was quoted $440 per night. Is it just me or is this crazy for a standard? Does anyone know how much a standard is in off season? I know they quote regular season for next year until they come out with the 09 rates, but how much can it come down if it's this high? I am very disappointed. I don't mind paying $250-$300, but that's just nuts for a standard view.

I think they quote peak price when the rates are not available yet. $440 is the peak season price for 2008. $325 during value season (plus tax).

Thanks, I can swing that much. Do you know if they usually include BC in AP discounts in the off season?

I got an AP rate for value season (July 22-July 30). It was $96 off the rack rate - so a standard room was $229 and a waterview room was $274.
