Beach Club Question

In the past, we've stayed at the Grand Floridian, Swan, Dolphin and Animal Kingdom Lodge. Since we will be spending most of our time at Epcot, MGM & Boardwalk, we booked the Beach Club Concierge Level 9/10/05 for 8 nights. Yacht/Beach Club reviews say balconies range from small to "full size". Does anyone know if all of the balconies on the Yacht or Beach Club Concierge level are "full size"? Also, Beach Club claims all concierge water views are of the lagoon, where Yacht Club is pool or lagoon view. Any info. on Yacht or Beach concierge rooms is much appreciated.

We were not happy with our conceirge room at the BC. We had a water view that looked out at the lagoon except there were too many trees to see any water. Our room was over the main doors from the lobby to the lagoon side of the building. It was a courtyard and we did not have any privacy on the balcony. Also, our room was smaller than is typical and we only had double beds not queen. It was very crowded because we had our three full size teens with us. I would never pay for water view there again and I would make sure we had queen beds in a larger room. The resort is beautiful, conceirge was great (other than our room) and the location to Epcot is fantastic.

If you read the BC FAQ I think it is the first thread that will give you a room map of the BC by floor and you can see what I am talking about. It also has a lot of great info about the resort.

A room map by floor is exactly what I was looking for. How do I get to BC FAQ? I clicked on FAQ, and got a website not responding message. New to this site, so I'm not familiar with how to move around yet.

Hi. Try the website disneyzone.net or allearsnet.com. They both have floorplans for the Disney hotels.

All the rooms at the Yacht Club have full size balconies

We stayed at the YC this past December and not all the rooms have full sized balconies. If that's important to you, just have your pre-planner make a note of it for the concierge room assignor.

Here is the link to the floor layout maps for the Beach Club and the Yacht Club. Just use the sizing tool to enlarge the maps for all the fine detail (move your mouse over the picture, look for the small box in the bottom, right hand corner of the picture, then click on it to enlarge). The maps are dated, but will give you an excellent idea of what area of the resort you'd like to request.
