We are staying at the Polynesian in a few short weeks!! We are thinking about adding a night at the Beach Club at the end of our trip so our kids can spend a day at the pool there. Is the pool there worth the hassle of changing resorts for one night?

Why not just plan a day at one of the Water Parks. I know Disney helps making a Resort tranfer pretty easy but I'd either make it a 50/50 split stay or simpley stay at the Beach Club the entire time.

I wouldn't do it for just one night. I agree with the OP, I would stay put and head to BB instead! Talk about an amazing day, that will be it! Some of our familiy's very best days at DW have been at BB and TL. Truly. In our minds, they are not to be missed! We especially enjoy being there at the end of the day. About 1-2 hours before they close, they really clear out. There is nothing better than our family enjoying the lazy river almost all to ourselves!!! Talk about magical!!

I agree with the PPs -- not for one day. If you made the switch and stayed there for 3 days, I think it would be worth it. You could go to DHS and Epcot on a couple of those days.

The BC/YC pool is much larger than the Volcano pool at the Poly. But I think it's alot of work for just one day.

You can always manage staying anywhere for one night if it is what you want. Personally, we would not consider a 'spilt" stay of less than 3 nights. SAB also maintains specific hours.

SAB is nice, but I agree with the pp's that it isn't worth it to change resorts for just for the pool for one night. We are in the minority that we actually like the volcano pool at the Poly more than SAB at the BC.

I agree with everyone else. While SAB is a blast, what if it rains the whole day you plan to spend there?

On our last trip my daughter chose staying at SAB over going to the water parks several times. I understand the water parks are more exciting than the hotel pools, but there is something relaxing about a day at SAB. I do worry that if it rains, or worse if there are thunderstorms, you will not get the added fun you envision.

I think one night is doable if you keep your suitcases pretty much packed.

For me, I would consider how easy it is for my family to pick up and move, whether I would be okay if the weather doesn't cooperate (there is still a lot to do within walking distance of the resort), and perhaps most importantly whether the pool would offer a family experience not better served by BB or TL.

DD11 like water parks, but mostly enjoys swimming and playing in the sand. It's a great place for her now, but she may change her mind as she gets older. If you are expecting a water park type experience, it might not live up to your expectations. If you are expecting a resort pool with more variety it might just be a great ending to your vacation. BTW, although my daughter liked SAB more than the Volcano Pool, she liked the slide better at the Volcano pool.

All that being said, I wouldn't suggest it unless you plan on utilizing the other advantages of staying at the BC (Epcot, HS, dinner at one of the area restaurants). I love the short walk to Epcot almost as much as the boat ride to MK from the Poly. Sadly, I will miss the boat ride this summer because we are doing a AKL/BC split.
