We are staying at the BC in March, but after reading on this website I am a bit curious about the Poly. My kids are 4,6,8. It's such a hard decision. Also, is a concierge floor worth the money? thanks for all the great info.

I don't know anything about the concierge floor, but beach club is our 2nd favorite after the polynesian. Important to us is the ability to travel quickly. That is why we like the poly, because the monorail is there. However, from the beach club you can boat to epcot and then monorail from there. (We try to avoid buses. So I'd say either one.

Growing up near Philly, and going to the beach often, I prefer the different atmosphere of the poly, never having been to hawaii.

With your little ones I would do BC.. they will have so much fun in the kids sandy area and have lots of other kids to play with and you dont have to worry about them.

Thanks Don, you make it seem like a no brainer. Is it the boardwalk, pool or any special reasoning?

Ooo, these are my two favorite resorts-- you would be so happy at either!

I would probably pick the BC just because of Stormalong Bay pool--the kids could spend the whole vacation there... and it was my favorite resort when I was their age. Beaches & Cream is a great place for them to grab a quick bite and Cape May Cafe is a really wonderful character buffet. The Boardwalk is also a lot of fun and convenient to have next door! Epcot and MGM are close too!

The Poly is also great because of its location and proximity to the Magic Kingdom and TTC, plus one of my favorite restaurants in WDW-- Kona Cafe. The monorail is so magical too.

As you can see, I love both.. but I would give BC the slight edge considering you will be with 3 young kids. Try the Poly for the next trip when they're a little older.

With kids that age definitely do the Beach Club. The pool itself is a huge draw for the kids as is being so close to the Boardwalk so they can see some magic type stuff.

I would pick Polynesian b/c it is so easy to get to the MK. Poly's pool has a cool slide and you can watch Wishes while sitting in the pool!! Polynesian also has a nice "food court" where you can refill your mugs 24/7. I don't think BC has that. -Steph

Have made seven previous trips to WDW. 1st trip was back in '96 when DS was 12 and twin DD's were 6. Stayed at the Polynesian and loved it. (We loved it so much that we returned there five more times). The location being so close to the MK was a major factor, as was being on the monorail line. It made it easy to head back to the hotel for a mid day break/swim/nap thing. As they grew older and their tastes/interests changed, they wanted to be closer to EPCOT and the Studios so they suggested the Beach Club. Went there last year and the time was right for the change. Easy access to EPCOT via International Gateway, Studios close by and Stormalong Bay, etc. We will be back to the Beach Club in August. Based up the ages of your children, the Polynesian would be the way to go IMO. But either way, you can't go wrong. You're in WDW!! Enjoy.

I would go with BC. You just can't beat all ther is there. For the kids and the grown ups!!!!!!

We did both the BC and the POLY on our last visit. While I loved the POLY I think the BC won out. I found the atmosphere at the BC to be more relaxing and I loved the proximity to the Boardwalk and Epcot.

I think you have all the info you need in these post to make your decision...I agree with them all You need to look at what type of vacation you are planning. If it includes lots of resort time for pool and other activities (boardwalk) then BC...if it is mostly for the parks the Poly

We found that the BC was great, but we bused to MK alot and looking forward to monorail with this yrs stay at POLY...our kids loved the pool at BC last yr , but we were only there for a few hr one day....

We have stayed at the Poly and the Yacht Club. We liked them both but I would pick Beach Club over the Poly. The rooms are a little smaller--not a lot but a little. We love the Epcot location and the ease of getting to Epcot and MGM. Storm Along Bay is lots of fun for the kids. The Poly pool is very nice but smaller than I had expected and no hot tub.

I would go with the Poly. We (DW, DS8, DS6) have stayed at both the Poly and YC and while SAB is great, it may be too big to keep track of your kids while swimming. The volcano pool at the Poly is a good size, has zero entry for the little ones and is located adjacent to the beach. It is very relaxing. We also loved the monorail. The buses at WDW STINK!!! I hate them. The convenience of taking the monorail to MK and Epcot far out ways the BC/YC advantages. Also, we liked the atmosphere at the Poly. It is much more relaxing to us. You do not have to trek through the big lobby in your bathing suit to get to the pool.

As for concierge, we have found that it is worth it at YC and the Poly, but not at CR Tower Club (where it is limited and less expensive). We ate every breakfast there, plus midday snacks and drinks. We would eat bigger lunches at the Parks and then have a light dinner at the concierge. It was great to take the food down to the pool at the Poly and eat while the kids swam. They also have great desserts. If you are willing to adjust to this, it is worth it. If you want to eat at a restaurant every night, then it is not. Jay

Beach Club! Lovely atmosphere, lots to do for the kids, SAB. I would stay there again hands down.

Thank you for all of your wonderful insight. This is such a great website. I've just recently found it and have learned so much. Plus, I am finally able to talk to people who actually get it. Our friends just don't understand WDW. Anyway, it looks like the BC. I am really excited about looking into the Poly for our next trip. It's a place I've never really thought of until this website. Thanks again! It's been 4 yrs. and I can't wait.
