Beach Club or Grand Floridian?

Our favorite is the Poly but we want to try something different for our next trip in October for me, DH and DD 10. We like being on the monorail line at the Poly and love the view of the MK, so that makes me lean toward GF, but we thought it might be fun to try a different resort area. The BC location would be convenient for Epcot's Food and Wine Festival in October.

Which resort would you choose, and why?

My vote would be BC. The pool and resort are wonderful. Not to mention the location. I also think it has the best area for restaurants. You can walk to MGM or EC easily and they also have a boat. The room are also larger.

I think it might be fun for you and your family to try a different location since you say you are Poly people. The Beach Club is really nice with Stormalong Bay and Beaches n Cream. The absolute best part of BC is the location, though -- you are minutes away from the Boardwalk, Epcot and Studios. The overall atmosphere is really fun and light.

I have stayed in both & love them both equally. But, since you are there for Food & Wine - I would choose Beach Club. We did that & it was so convienent for the Festival. Just couldn't have been a better experience. It's really great being able to walk in & out of the Park. The monorail is great & you can still use it by walking thru Epcot should you choose to.

So I stay at both of them!

I love the Beach Club. The location, BCV rooms, and of course SAB is wonderful for the kids!

I love Grand Floridian. The location, the rooms , and of course the monorail and the fact that you can look out over to MK. The restaurants are great and the pool is nice and abuts the beach.

Both are great!! I split my stay between a number of resorts!!

Another vote for BC! It is so nice being that close the the international gateway.

Beach club has my vote!! Especially with the F&W festival.

GF is our favorite. We just split our stay in October -GF and BC. We've stayed GF before. GF is still our favorite and NO the rooms are definitely not bigger at the BC-they are smaller. The staff at SL was excellent if you're possibly thinking concierge. We've also stayed in the main bldg and had a great time.

I would say BC. Great area and great Cast members. Lots to do in the area.
