Beach Club or Boardwalk?

I currently have a villa at the Beach Club booked for the June 28th-July 5th.

My plan was to change it to Boardwalk at the 7 month window. ( I'm renting points from a friend who's home resort is Beach Club).

Now I'm debating if I should just keep the original reservation. :confused3

I have 2 girls who are 14 and 10. And a little boy who is 2. Which resort do you think would be more enjoyable for them? And which resort is easier transportation wise? We will have our own car but plan on using Disney trans. as much as possible.

TIA!

The transportation is pretty much a wash. BW usually shares buses with the Swan and Dolphin and BC with the Yacht Club.

The big advantage to the Beach Club is Storm Along Bay - if your kids are pool kids - and your ten year old is old enough that you don't need to keep a constant eye on her, this is a really really cool pool. Plus its got zero entry for your toddler. The Boardwalk pool is much easier to watch kids at - but its kiddie pool is not great and it isn't nearly as extensive as SAB.

My kids are all really swimmers... even the baby swims some already!

After looking at the photos of stormalong bay... I think my kids would LOVE that!!

Where might I find info on how much the childcare costs?

Let me give you some more pics of SAB:

That should help you decide.

We have stayed at both and we prefer BCV. BWV is great for many reasons, but for the ages of your family, I think SAB is a deciding factor.
Both are great.
We like the closeness to Epcot, our favorite resort, from the BCV.
But BWV is closesr to DHS and still not far from Epcot.
The pool would be the deciding factor for me.
Good Luck

WOW your pics just sold me!! Definitely BCV for us! :thumbsup2

And since we will be at Disney for 2 weeks ( BCV then AKV)... we'll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy all they have to offer!

Please... call me Rob. Glad I could share helpful pics. We have only been to BCV once, but there is no comparable to SAB.

We haven't stayed at AKV yet, but we've visited AKL. I think you are going to have a wonderful time...

Sorry I didn't notice your name in your siggy Rob... thanks again for the wonderful pics! :goodvibes

I showed them to my dd's last night and they are beyond estatic that they will be swimming there! Our past trip we were so focused on seeing everything in the parks. Now I'm just as excited about enjoying the resorts.

Every time I see pictures of the Beach club, it makes me think - 'holy cow, I own there now! I cant believe it!".

Thanks for the gorgeous pics!

I have BWV booked for Aug 16-21. But, I'm hoping I can switch over to BCV when I get to the 7 month window. I'll be there with my two dd's, 15 and 33...I think they would both love SAB in mid-August!! Here's hoping I can make the switch.

Your entire family will Love SAB, including the adults! The pics make me think of our awesome trip to BC this past August! The proximity to the Boardwalk area and Epcot is so NICE!

I don't think you will "go wrong" with either BCV or BWV! I never felt the pool at SAB was too overcrowded, even in mid August!

Enjoy!Your family will love SAB!

I'm a BWV owner and have stayed at both BWV and BC. They both share a great central location and walking access to two parks. If the pool is really important, then stay at BC. You can always pool hop from BC to BWV one day to give the kids the Kiester Coaster experience, but you can't pool hop to BC. Given the amount of walking you'll be doing anyway, the distance from one to another really isn't an issue.

I am a BCV owner, and we love it there, of course. We liked the dedicated 2 BR with the 2 beds in the 2nd bedroom, we have a large family.

But, I will say that I prefer the SLIDE at BWV over the one at BCV. I do not like crossing that public pathway to climb the stairs to the top of the slide. And the BWV slide is a twisty slide, that is a more fun "ride". But, the rest of the pool is better at Storm Along Bay. I am not sure about the BW pool, but my older kids like the pool volleyball games in SAB, too.

If you ever get the BW view of the Epcot ball, you will never forget it, just awesome. BCV views are nothing like that.

Both resorts, great location, and you can't go wrong with either one.

I also read that they show outside movies at beach club by the pool. Is that something they have all year round?
