After much flip-flopping, we finally decided on returning to the Beach Club for our holiday trip this year. We booked a waterview room, but I got a little confused when I printed our confirmation from the WDW website. It says "Room Type - Deluxe - Water or Pool View". The link in our confirmation email lists it as "Water or Pool View (WD)".

So do we have a regular room with a water/pool view, or did we end up with one of the larger deluxe rooms? Anyone have any idea? The CM at CRO didn't seem to know what I was asking. We stayed in a standard view last year, so this is new to me.

TIA for any help!! :)

No standards rooms have pool/water view. You have a pool/water view room. It could be of the big pool, the quiet pool, or overlooking the lagoon (although these rooms are hard to come by). Same type of room as standard -only with a view.

I'm sorry -- I think maybe I was unclear. I'll edit my first post so I make sense! ;)

We know we don't have a standard view room. We booked a water/pool view room. The thing that is throwing me is the "Deluxe - Water or Pool View" on the confirmation and the "WD" code on the email. What I'm wondering is if we're booked in a regular water view or if they put us in one of the Deluxe rooms.

I just checked my Beach Club confirmation and I have a (V) next to mine. I'm not sure what these letters mean, maybe it's just a code for the employees and doesn't really mean anything to us? (WD) might be the name of the CM who booked your trip. If anyone knows I'd be interested in learning!! :)

Can I ask what kind of room you have booked? :)

The letters actually do mean something. For example, our reservation at the GF had a letter code that corresponded to the room type. The GF FAQ here has the same letter codes next to the room types differentiating between garden view, lagoon view, concierge, etc.

We're booked for standard... that was all they had left for our dates. I called a couple of times to check and see if water view had opened up, but every time I asked they said the resort was booked solid. So I doubt we'll get any type of upgrade. I'm just hoping not be overlooking a dumpster! :lmao:

Thanks for letting me know ... I'm asking on the FAQ, too, and we're trying to figure out these weird codes. :)

We had a standard view last May that looked out over a pretty wooded area with the Villas to the left. It also had a full balcony. So I'll send you pixie dust that you get something equally lovely w/no dumpster or parking lot view!! :goodvibes
