Beach club concierge ??

Is there a web site with info on Beach Club similar to Tikiman's site for poly? I really need more info before I choose between Poly and BC concierge. We loved Poly but dear hubby wants BC and kids love pool! Any help on Beach club would be great!

I don't know of any website like Tikimans but I can tell you that I have stayed at both concierge levels. We prefer the Poly concierge over BC but love the BC location! Since your DH and children would like to try the BC, I would go for it. Try to get a view of Cresent Lake - it is beautiful. I don't think you will be disappointed. Our last 3 trips we stayed at either YC/BC concierge due to location and the pool for the kids. This year we are anxious to return to the Poly. We are bringing our young niece/godchild so we will be spending more time at the MK. Poly made more sense. Can't wait. Good luck deciding. You can't go wrong with either decision.

Why do you prefer Poly? What is the food like at BC? Is the service as nice? We love the monorail too. I am just afraid I won't be as pleased with BC food or service. Thansk for the info.

The BC morning offerings are comprable to the Poly if I recall correctly. The kids enjoyed the afternoon snacks. Poly offered more in the evening and we enjoyed the evening offerings a bit more at the Poly. The Poly atmosphere was also more kid friendly in my opinion. As far as service, I definitely find the Poly staff to be more friendly and helpful. But if we found it to be that much of an issue, we would not have returned to the BC. Like I said, the location can't be beat. That is why I feel you can't really go wrong. Also, keep in mind that this is only my opinion. I'm sure there are others here on DIS that prefer the BC over the Poly. Is it an option to split your stay?

We're spending three nights at the BC this July before moving to the Polynesian. We haven't tried the BC yet, and are quite excited to. SAB was a big draw for us for this particular trip, as we'll be spending quite a bit of our daytime hours closing on the house and getting things moved in, so breakfast and evening offerings were more important to us than anything else as far as the lounge goes. But we know after spending a day hanging curtains and unpacking boxes, SAB will be very inviting in the evening

We have often stayed at the YC concierge, but never the BC. Thinking of doing BC concierge for next trip. Is the layout of the BC concierge floor and the lounge similar to that at the YC? I'm expecting some differences, as, if I recall correctly, several years ago, only YC had concierge and BC did not.

Both the BC and YC lounges are about the same size but the layouts are slightly different. We like the BC lay out better. The YC lounge (unless it changed since 2002) gets bottle necked where the food offerings are located. The lounge is sort of in an "L" shape. Tables are located where you walk in and then to your left is the food. Is the layout a dealbreaker for us between the YC and BC? No. We enjoyed the overall experience at the BC better than the YC. This includes a combination of service, atmosphere and food. Ultimately, they both have the best location for people who spend more time at Epcot and MGM. BC and YC also have the best pool on site (just my humble opinion!).

While my DS is anxious to stay at the Poly again, he is bummed he won't be able to use SAB. I think SAB is the perfect way to end a day of curtain hanging and unpacking boxes! Good luck with your move!

I'm waiting for my Disney Visa to arrive then I will price out a split or Poly or BC all must be concierge this trip- party of 7 so we also need 2 rooms so the least expensive( if you could call it that )will probably be our choice BUT DH got left home for last year's Poly experience so we may be voted out and at the BC -any way we'll see. Just trying to gather all the inof I can - any other major differences do they contact you and make ressies for you?

I was wondering if you would recommend your contractor or another for the property you are having built in terms of cost, efficiency, quality, etc.. I am considering the same arrangement, buying land and building? Could you provide me with contact info?
